let's bring in jennifer joyce for very latest on this, jennifer? here at, in the area of -- what we're hearing is a total of seven people shot. we do know that at least two children are included in that count a two-year old and a ten year-old. other victims are ages 15 to 25. the two children have been taken to chop. other five have been taken to penn presbyterian. all seven are in critical condition at this point. the information is extremely preliminary but what police is telling us they believe that there was some sort of block party picnic happening in this area of forty-first and ogden streets and at 10:00 o'clock pretty much out of no where a shooter came around and started opening fire. they believe that a shotgun was used, they do not think that the shooter was at the picnic at least he possibly could have been there earlier in the night. they are still trying to figure that out but all of the victims were here for the block party chris. >> jennifer joyce, thank you we will check back with more information. just a horrible story there in we

two people dead following the car crash. >> jennifer joyce on this in chester with the latest, jennifer> reporter: good morning guys. this was really ugly crash and police tell us speed was absolutely a factor see hine me where the crash happened, on the 800 block of west second street, one car being towed away from the scene the second vehicle that was involved in this crash landed, a few hundred yards away from here. as you can see from our video, both vehicles are crushed. officials on scene say two men died on impact. one from each vehicle. the crash happened just before 1:00 this morning police tell us that the white car was headed west here on west second street. the red cast war headed east, when the two collided. investigators say the red car was speeding, witnesses reported it traveling 100 miles an hour here in a 35-mile an hour speed zone. when it swerved into the opposing lane of traffic. police are still investigating to confirm just how fast that red car was going. no word on the identities of either of the drivers. we know that family members are still being notified. but
