jennifer horn, dave ehrenberg, jill wine banks are all still with me.xt steps in the classified documents case. trump entered a plea of not guilty, as i mentioned, the only other upcoming date is june 27th. this is walt nauta, his personal aid that is being charged. he needs to appear in court and enter his plea. but beyond that, it doesn't look to be anything clear on the horizon. do you have any insight or can you lay out for us how this would play out in terms of a timeline? >> we'll, jack smith wants to rush this. he wants this to be done before the 2024 election. it's in trump's interest to delay it. that's the typical litigation tactic, he wants this to go way beyond the election, where he thinks he can pardon himself or get another republican to pardon in and and this whole thing. i think another interesting that happened is tuesday, tuesday is the day that judge cannon has set as the day that trump's lawyers must start to get security clearance to see the documents. that's a pretty quick day, and a pretty quick deadline. so that's encouraging th

. >>> with me now to talk about these developments and more is jennifer horn, the former chairwoman for the new hampshire republican party and the co-founder of the anti-trump group, the lincoln project. also joining us is sir michael singleton, a strategist. the other major candidate, we haven't talked about, is former president trump. he was not in iowa yesterday. what do you think of his decision to skip this event? >> it'm not surprised. from trump's perspective and his campaign's perspective, he's leading by 20, 30 points, compared to what candidate you're looking at. so for his position, why do i have to be there for this process? i have the strongest base. i don't think being there is going to change too many minds. ind that. however, if you're ron desantis in particular, this gives a good opportunity, the desantis campaign, they say they have knocked on 50,000 doors. that's a good sign. from individuals i've spoken with, they're building up a robust ground and targeting operation there. i think there's a lot of room for other candidates to see their ground game increase and numb

jonathan lemire, msnbc political analyst, jennifer horn, former chair of the republican presidential party. what are we expecting from the campaign as it moves forward. >> the event will be a town hall style meeting. you can expect that interaction between former governor christie and new hampshire voters. and any issues can really come up. when you ask about the theory of his campaign and the style of his campaign, you can see him work as a bulldog, especially against former president donald trump. that's not just coming from campaign sources, but you also heard governor christie preview that when he was last here in new hampshire. telling voters are he made a strategic error in 2016 with that failed presidential run, he ended up in sixth place in new hampshire by not taking on donald trump directly. he was an ally right after 2016 into the 2020 campaign, but now he's a sharp trump critic and you can expect to hear a lot of that criticism on the campaign trail and that's going to be a lot of his strategy. i want you to listen to what he told voters back in march about why he shifted
