steve jerve continues our team coverage. and steve, our entire weather team was live on the air for hours with this storm. >> yeah, we were tracking this rotation offshore and sometimes it can touch the ground and sometimes it goes back up into the clouds. we saw that several times this afternoon but we were tracking the rotation well offshore, some 40-miles and that indicates a tornado or water spouts in there. most of it has cleared the area. the rain that is. threat is essentially over for today. and we are headed to quieter weather this week. and today tomorrow report, tornado reports up in the southern part or the northern part of charlotte county. this one, this tornado moved through open fields. that was observed by some of the plant workers there. and farther south, you can see the tornado reports there out of murdock. again, trees down and obviously you saw the damage from eagle 8. those legitimate tornadoes. but we track the rotation. as we mentioned, sometimes this can be at the upper-level and tornado. we saw the

steve jerve and i were on facebook live all morning long starting about 1:30 until the newscast started. intense portion was moving through hillsborough and pinellas county. and now it's pushing farther and quickly to the south. so from tampa north, things are dry now. and once you get into polk county and south and east where the rain continues. and the tornado watch has been canceled. it was in effect for pinellas, pasco, hillsborough and manatee. that's been taken away. and we still have the watch until 8:00 a.m. for polk, sarasota, hardy, desoto and highlands. i suspect it will get canceled before 8:00 a.m. look at this, western manatee, western sarasota dry. this is pushing to the east. and over through highlands county at this point. let me show you how we move forward in time. this is the forecast for 4:30, so as you go forward, just one hour, we are dry in sarasota. and almost dry in polk county. one more hour, about 6:30, a drop or two of rain in that, clearing out for the rest of the day. so about two more hours where we have to deal with this before we dry out, 71 today. in w
