jessica burch joining us now again. you give us a look at some of the conditions that people have dealt with so far and what is coming up? >> oh, absolutely. it's been such an active week for us here in the states. check this video out out of rock dale county in georgia. this happened to a home in the path of a very powerful twister. you can see the wind ripped up the tree and knocked it on top of the roof there. and over into west virginia, we go, a destructive storm passed through charleston toppling trees there. you can see just how strong those winds are in the video. the national weather service actually said that the radar indicated a tornado just in that area. and we've been talking about these crazy storms all week and different parts of the -- excuse me, in different parts of the country but back here in the bay, we're about to get our fair share of a little bit of a storm too. nothing to that extreme by the way. but it is worth noting that we have some active weather right around the corner as a cold front mov

let's go to jessica burch in our virtual view studio. >> it is a nice day for us but we are gearing up for rain coming in tonight, tomorrow morning. ahead of that, we will see more clouds in the forecast. it is not until around midnight tonight where we see that first band of rain impact the bay area . we have some heavier pockets of rain isolated in the center of that first band. watching this storm track off into the east into the early morning hours tomorrow, many of us will be sleeping during that time but if you are an early riser, you will be dealing with some active weather. here we go all the way into our afternoon hours. notice how the first band moves into the sierra and we are left with some hit or miss showers. this has been a pretty impressive storm, giving us a half inch of rain throughout the bay area. we will continue to watch more showers develop tomorrow night, getting us over an inch throughout the coastal areas and then it moves its way south heading into our sunday forecast. drier conditions are expected into our monday forecast. it will be a breezy one for us. win
