congressman jim jordan has been subpoenaed, not cooperating. i am watching to see if there is any movement out of the white house counsel's office. we heard from pat cipollone, someone who the committee has invited very publicly to testify. his interactions, as relayed by hutchinson, would be fascinating. whether he backs up that version of events. don't forget kevin mccarthy. you can't heard about this -- we heard clips of things he was saying to the media and what he told members of congress. the men who would be the next house speaker if republicans win the majority, kevin mccarthy, remains silent publicly about exactly what he said and what he was told in real time on january 6. this committee has done a lot of work and try to get members of congress to cooperate. i do not think they are ever going to hear from kevin mccarthy, but at us -- it is something that needs to be reminded of constantly. kristen: i thought liz cheney left us with an interesting note about how witnesses that came before the committee seemed like they were intimidated

jim banks and jim jordan who were initially supposed to be on the committee, rejected by pelosi, theyre also going to play some sort of messaging. most republicans that ryan and i talked to would rather just ignore the committee, they think it's better to pivot to other issues, this he don't think it's worth trying to in some cases defending the indefensible but this is all for an audience of one, donald trump. >> off the hill he's going to get some help as well from the rnc, from matt schlapp, what is this about a potential war room? >> there's different scenarios that they are talking about as a way to provide trump this cover that he's looking for as the committee hearings go on and it will probably mean reaching out to different, you know, sympathetic news rooms and sympathetic media voices, news max, fox, and of course their social media feeds to try to bolster this idea that the committee is just a partisan witch-hunt, that it actually doesn't have a true legislative goal in mind, that the only purpose was that nancy pelosi wanted to find a way to get donald trump. the problem i

congressman jim jordan. he has also refused to comply with the subpoena from the committee. they have warned him, he has until june 11 to cooperate. he has a deadline. so let's put up or shut up. is it possible, you think, that he could also be indicted? for contempt, if he doesn't comply with this level subpoena? again, this is a more nuanced question. we haven't necessarily had a situation where a sitting member of congress has been held in contempt of that body. so this would be uncharted water, to some extent. but again, it is not the committee's decision on whether or not jim jordan would be indicted. they refer that matter to the department of justice. the department of justice ultimately makes a decision about how they will proceed. but again, i think the committee is making very clear that they are not going to tolerate this kind of recalcitrance. it's a subverting of the canadian's role in providing oversight. and not only what happened on january 6th, and what came before it, but also how to prevent what happened from happening again. >> it is important to understa
