i'm jim rosenfield. today's showers come ahead of a heat wave tomorrow.'re dealing with the wet weather. meteorologist sheena parveen times it out in the forecast. >> yeah, jim, a lot of the heavy rain has already started lightening up quite a bit. even around the philadelphia area. so we're still watching the radar. but what we do see now, just some light rain mainly. through parts of sussex county in delaware, we still have the heavy rain right on the maryland line. precip rates over two inches. we also have light rain falling around the delaware beaches. philadelphia, light spotty showers. up towards burlington, along the major interstates here, wet roadways. we've seen quite a bit of rainfall today. up through the lehigh valley, bucks county, light to moderate rain right near allentown and easton. as we go into the poconos, we have heavier rainfall. this has prompted a flood advisory. there is a threat for localized flooding, street and creek flooding until 9:30. maybe an inch of rain, possibly we'll see two inches by the time it's all said and done.

i'm jim rosenfield. >> that shooter acted alone in massacring five officers and wounding others. the center of dallas remains locked down. authorities have now identified all five officers who were killed as they release more about the suspect. we have more on the deadliest attack on law enforcement since 9/11. >> reporter: there is an erie silence in downtown dallas tonight. just over 24 hours after this chaos and carnage. police shot from an elevated perch downtown. >> this was a shooter that had written manifestos on how to shoot and move, shoot and move, and he did that. >> reporter: investigators now say this man, micah xavisaixavi johnson was the lone gunman. officers using a bomb robot with detonating controlled explosives. >> it seems as though the sole suspect now has received his justice. and what will be important is to ensure that there are no other potential co-conspirators. >> reporter: police did detain three other people but did not say what role if any they played in the attack. it ended what was a peaceful march, protesting incidents in minnesota and louisiana.
