all right, jocelyn. thank you so much. >> the shooting in half moon bay is the deadliest in the area since the vta shooting in 2021, when a vta employee opened fire at a railyard, killing nine people before turning the gun on himself. meanwhile, investigators in oakland are working to uncover what led up to a shooting that left one person dead and seven others injured there. oakland police tell us the shooting happened at a gas station on seminary and macarthur roads just after 6:00 last night. police arrived on scene to find showcasing but no victims. detectives believe the victims took themselves or were taken to nearby hospitals. they have not said anything about a possible suspect or what led to this particular shooting. down in southern california, the coroner's office has identified 11 victims of the monterey park dance studio shooting. what we still don't know is the motive behind this attack. investigators found a huge cache of ammunition and another firearm when they searched the home of the sus

jocelyn is live in san jose, where a flood warning is in place. >>> jocelyn, i was going through some of my traffic information and not too far from you, i'm already hearing flooding on the freeways. how are things looking where you are? >> reporter: just driving here you could see some puddles forming. we are here at the guadeloupe river, along it. you can already see the water levels rising. a few people have already stopped to check out the water levels. this is how we have been able to monitor. you see that drainage pipe there, the water has significantly risen there, almost covering it. the other way we have been monitoring it, we have been taking a look at these steps here, closely locking at that. it has already covered the platform, plus three or four steps. if we can assume each step is around 6 inches, there is almost about 2 feet. >>> these water levels are rising quickly. >>> i want to show you this graphic here by the national weather service. again guadeloupe river could go into flood stage today. you can see the curve there, going into the orange. that is indicating min

jocelyn is live in the area. the lanes are open. how have the homes been impacted in that area works >> reporter: people were impacted in this area. it was a scary situation, whether you are driv the area before we get into t mentioat gopo ofraabout 10 minuagis sprinklin roadways are wet. this is highway 101. we know it is looking different than it did yesterday. this is a major stretch. a lot of people use it to commute. you can imagine the impact that this had. i want to take you to video now. you can see one home here that was completely submerged in water. cars around it are also submerged. we have more video of highway 101, and what it looked like yesterday. you can see why they were forced to shut down and cars were diverted, forced to take city streets, finding those flooded as well. thankfully, home authorities were able to go in and check on residents. they said they safely evacuated. evacuation warnings were issued in this area, even in hollister. we met a family here. they have a horse and donkeys. they headed out when th

jocelyn is there live. you have spoke with residents up and down the peninsula.ve you heard? >> reporter: we talked to residents, they have experienced scary moments over the weekend with flooding and mudslides along the peninsula. one of the areas was here at this underpass. that area flooded. that is on old county road and holly. this is one of the areas. i want to show you the video. you can see the conditions that drivers were driving through. the recommendation is that if you see flooding, you don't want to drive through. you don't know how deep the water can be. flooding was seen up-and-down the peninsula, including on 101. we know how bad this can get. residents are getting sandbags ready. meet david crayton. he saw the worst he has seen since living in san mateo, which has been nearly 30 years. mud, logs, and tree branches came down , flooding his neighborhood. they spent the last couple of days, cleaning up. he is hoping that this time around, it is not worse then it was over the weekend. >> wants to do the sandbags, we have two english so goes into the

jocelyn is tracking the damage on the peninsula including at a south san francisco gas station where i canopy came tumbling down. >>> fire crews have gone to look at the damage, what is the status? >> reporter: yes ryan they work here earlier today look at some of the damage. there are other crews here right now. we have seen people driving through the street right now. they are stopping by and taking up their phones and taking video because of how shocking this is. a lot of people in south san francisco experienced the strong winds last night. it even brought this canopy at this valero gas station down. you can also see that it fell onto two pumping stations there. they both have significant damage to that. we also spoke with the person who sells fuel to this gas station. you will hear from him in a second. we spoke to the communications director with the city leslie. she was telling us there were no customers when this fell, only the owner was here. thankfully nobody was hurt. then she says emergency personnel responded and shut off the gas valves. the owner is looking to get this
