joe? >>> thanks very much, tom. breaking news. a deadly accident. overnight a person was hit and killed on the parkway north of route 197. news 4's megan mcath joins us live with the details. good morning, megan. >> reporter: good morning, joe. the southbound lanes of the b.w. parkway are closed. all lanes are blocked. they move in wrecking machinery, flatbeds to move some of the vehicles out of the area. the hope is they'll be able to reopen the highway soon. we're just not there yet. this will havean impact on the early portion here. detour, 198 and laurel. you won't able to go south at least not for the moment. this all began in the early hours of the morning. according to u.s. park police, there was a disabled vehicle that was here on the b.w. parkway just north of the 197 accident. the vehicle was disabled. they're not sure what was going on, whether it was broken down, out of gas. they're still investigating. but the bottom line is the driver of that vehicle got out of the car and wasutside the vehicle when another car traveling through e area

joe, eun. >> jerry, thank you.any possible change i the airport security patdowns will not happen any time soon. the debate is picking up just as crowds get ready to pack the airport this is week for the thanksgiving holiday travel. news 4's megan mcgrath joins us with more on that. good morning, megan. >> reporter: good morning, joe. we're seeing business travelers and folks leaving town for the holiday weekend. the new security procedures, the full body scans and the more aggressive fill patdowns really sparked quite a bit of controversy. a lot of people will experience those procedures for the very first time. many are wondering what the security lines will be like as we go through this busy holiday travel season. the head of the tsa is asking for cooperation from t flying public. he sayshey will tr to make these patdowns, these security procedures as painless as possible. and in a statement released over the weekend, john pistole said, quote, this has always been viewed as an evolving program that will be adapt
