. >> martha: john brennan and james comey seem to think that they are going to not be involved in thist targets. it will be very interesting to see what john durham comes out with. i know he has interviewed and spoken to many people and the attorney general is watching that as well. so hopefully that's going to come out in the next few weeks, we hope. nikki haley tonight, tim scott tonight. what is their job? because every speaker who was out there has a mission, something they want to do to help the team win. what is it for them? >> well, i think for each person it's a little bit different. for nikki haley, she worked very closely with the president. she is a successful governor. but she also has a very strong foreign policy. i think she will talk about the things of the president did to make america stronger, to fight back against our adversary, to work closely with our allies. you are going to see a lot of that come from nikki haley. she is a very strong conservative woman. to hear her opinion, i think is going to be very important. i think he will probably highlight some of those.

he called president obama a terrorist senator, accused john brennan of treason, he was so bad he didn't have the votes in the republican committee to actually be confirmed, so his nomination was pulled. and then they just named him to the job anyway in a position they basically said like the guy doing the stuff that would be the stuff that he was nominated to do, essentially, and gave you and mitch mcconnell and everyone in the senate an enormous middle finger. what do you think about this? >> i think you have got it exactly right. i think two things. first of all, we're not sure what he did in terms of putting todd zac in, despite not having the votes and despite already having been nominated is legal. so that will get litigated. but the bottom line is this. mitch mcconnell has decided that the senate doesn't matter. mitch mcconnell will not move in contradiction of donald trump under any circumstances. and one of the most disappointing things for me is mark esper, the secretary of the department of defense. there was some hope that, although a republican, that he would try to uphold t
