the clerk is john carol, and i would also like to thank sfgovtv for staffing the meeting. i want to say one thing before we start and hear our first item. i have just come from the ruth asawa school of the arts, where i was there with the mayor, and i think we should all be filled with pride for our young people in this city today. they are marching -- lying in, i guess is what they're calling it at my daughter's school -- all against gun violence. and the performances we saw at the school of the arts, i still have tears in my eyes. they are such products of our san francisco values. i -- you know, to me, i think what happens in san francisco, you learn to walk, then you learn to bike, then you learn to march, and these kids are ready to march, and this is going to be the generation, i believe, that carries the baton on for the rest of us that have been fighting all our lives for social justice, equity, human rights. this gun violence has motivated them, in washington, from the attacks on our muslim brothers and sisters, the immigrant community. this severely impacts the k
