. >> carol lee is traveling with john bolton in the middle east. walk me through this. first, the president said erdogan told me he's on our side. we're all set. he wasn't getting any guarantee. he also said we'll pull them out in 30 days. >> yes, i think what's happening is that, you know, the president came out and made a statement saying immediately we're to start pulling out troops. and then the people around him are trying to create a policy around that. so what we've seen is bolton talking to the itsraelis. trying to reassure them the u.s. withdraw from syria isn't going to adversely affect their iran strategy. now he's here in turkey and, you know, he's basically saying that this is now a condition-based withdraw. there's a series of different conditions on the ground or policy elements that they want to see in place before they're going to withdraw troops from syria. that's a pretty significant shift from what we heard from the president, from that video clip. >> has the president, since john bolton made that statement yesterday, has the president said anything?

carol roth, gary b. smith, robert wolf and we are joined by john meyer. john, let's not try to sugar coat it. this is the first quarterly decline in both revenue and profit in about ten years for the month of december, including the month of december, but they had built expectations so low, it's hard to go any lower, right? >> correct. the other thing that i think is extremely notable here is the year over year china revenue decline, which i think according to my math is roughly a 27% decline in revenue from china. then the other issue obviously is it's just frustrating to be banging our heads against the wall trying to come up with realistic ideas on what exactly the situation is with iphone sales, given the lack of unit numbers being disclosed, then obviously today with the ever-growing story involving this new clearly massive issue involving privacy with apple, a company that to date, at least in my opinion, has not been a company to worry about as it relates to privacy. susan: we were having a great conversation here about the china play that apple has become, given that it guided on ipho

you're not as much john six somebody is worse than we make right but i'm glad to be a part of this because i want to see something happen. and then why are our want to know this thing carol oh i think it is. i had a son his name was michael bell who was killed on november ninth two thousand and four. he was coming home with a night out with friends designated driver he came intoxicated. michael's like you're too drunk to drive i'm going to drive michael was under the influence of alcohol but he can look on the gas can video he's driving perfectly straight up in front of his house and just then a squad car pulls up behind him and my son got out of the car because he was at his own home but the officer pull up said get back in the car get back in the car. cording to offer testimony it saw this other guy in the front seat and he grabbed michael and he took me on the back of the car off camera. under getting down. multiple times ran to the back of the house. my coat was accused of all rushing an officer here and this is actually a car that was here it was hasn't moved in in ten years and sadly that's that's the area where michael michael died. you can see. michael was shot i

carol is traveling with national security adviser john bolton. >> reporter: the u.s.ll troops, so it won't be the complete withdrawal that he had promised and it will be the u.s. who is going to finish the job in syria, not turkey. john bolton is here trying to reassure allies like israel about the president's withdrawal plans. in doing so, he's outlining a very different policy than the one the president put forward last month. he told us yesterday that no u.s. troops are leaving northern syria until turkey can guarantee it won't then go in and attack the kurds, who have been a critical al lie for the u.s. in the fight against isis. he also told us, quote, there are objectives that we want to accomplish that condition the withdrawal. and he said that the u.s. may leave some troops in southern syria as a deterrent to iran. president trump responding to this yesterday said he never said this was going to be a quick withdrawal, which is not true, and he said that the u.s. is going to stay in syria until isis is gone, which is a shift from what he said last month. now, b
