there's new legal trouble for one-time presidential candidate john edwards. the federal government has issued are 20 new subpoenas in connection with the former senator's coverup of an affair. edwards fathered a daughter with hunter. they have been investigating edwards more than a year now. focusing on the possible misuse of campaign abuses as he attempted to hide the relationship with his mistress. >> wells fargo has agreed to pay $23 million to end its investigation into some of the risky loans it made to home buyers. it allowed buyers to defer interest in adding it to the balance of the loans. at issue is whether the risk of these loans were fully explained to the borrowers. they were made by wachovia and world savings later acquired by wells fargo. the bank has agreed to provide assistance to 8700 customers to still have loans in question. >> officials are considering closing golden gate park at 10 p.m. to stop a crime wave. vandals have turned part of the nine-hole golf course into an illegal off-road course. >> this 9 hole course is loved by thousands.
