san jose homicide unit is on the way to the scene right now.know that one victim, a man in his 30's was shot in the chest at around 4:30 this morning, and we again are at the intersection if san jose, the area cordoned off and man police officers are around. they are just going the investigation. here is what we know: just before 4:30 this morning a neighbor was taking off and going to work from the neighborhood and he noticed a person down in the street and he called his wife and she called police. they responded to the scene. when they got here they determined the 30-year-old man, the only information they giving us, was, in fact, dead from a gunshot to the chest. no other evidence at this point accord to the police. they ruled this is a homicide. that is why the homicide unit is on its way. police right now are canvassing the neighborhood trying to talk to neighbors and talk to anyone that might have been out or about at that time to see if maybe they saw something or heard something. police have one piece of information. they say that came

. >> another traffic issue is in san jose. the c.h.p. is investigating a body found on interstate 280. this is a look at the scene. the coroner arrived at the southbound side of 280 near the off-ramp. you can see a heavy c.h.p. presence there after the body was found in the lanes before 3:30 this morning. we are told it is the body of a woman, not known if she was lit by cars on the friend or died some other way. there is a sig-alert in affect. >> what can drivers do in san jose and sausalito to try to get around the situation? >> this is live shot of sky 7 at wall drove grade. the best way i think to get around this is the golden gate ferry, you can take the bay bridge and. cog around but the jamup is expensive, and backed up into sausalito. can you get through sausalito on surface streets but that will be a major jam up. as far as the south bay, the accident, the fatal accident southbound 280, that accident also is blocking the three right lanes and the best alternate is to take southbound 280 to northbound 880 and northbound 880 to so

you can see those areas of mid and low level clouds here across san jose. kind of a beautiful picture. we've had so much sunshine this year we get any clouds like this and it's a nice change for us. also in san francisco, it's gray. we do have winds 5 to 15 miles per hour but most importantly for tonight if you do have plans it is going to stay dry. a real interesting pattern shaping up. the storm system really hasn't been this size getting this close to us for probably a month, month and a half at this point. a huge area of low pressure soeshl associated with a cold front dropping in the pacific. we also have subtropical moisture tapping in from hawaii streaming in. there's a lot of dynamics with this that would ordinarily provide us with a strong storm system but the one thing that's going to be lacking is strong upper level dynamics. we'll get moisture in here but it doesn't look like it will squeeze out some of the heaviest rainfall of 2013. so do expect rainfall but don't expect a huge deluge across the bay area. we'll find temperatures in the 50s at t

this morning, san jose police telling us a deadly stabbing in san jose's almaden valley neighborhood appears ton an isolated incident. officers found a man in his early 20s stabbed to death near the entrance of guadalupe oak grove park yesterday afternoon. last night, homicide investigators combed through the neighborhood looking for any kind of evidence and trying to track down witnesses who may have been around at the time of the event. but so far, nobody under arrest. and police have not yet released a description of any potential suspect. >>> new details about two separate stabbings in san francisco overnight. police say in the first stabbing, it happened about 2:20 this morning on mission street near the 16th street b.a.r.t. station. here's a map to give you some perspective. a man in his 30s was taken to san francisco general hospital with at least one stab wound. then about an hour later, a man was stabbed near the intersection of 26th and folsom streets. he's listed in serious condition, also at san francisco general. police don't think the two stabbings are related. >>> comi
