josh: what was your take away? neil: five days before the christmas, the gloves came off for the first time. i think o' malley did not have a good night and clinton and sanders clearly got into it. normally we would have seen a television commercial or break and abc did not seem to want to cut to the break because the candidates were going at it with such a v viscery. part of it was the data breach. josh: they did not spend a lot of time on that. neil: they spent enough to get it started and it bled into the other issues. the room and the candidates wanted to vent on that stage. josh: one question that was asked, education. that is why i recognized it. how do you come up with the college affordability is on the minds of a lot of people. did your students weigh in? neil: they did weigh in. 1.3 trillion dollars in outstanding student debt, i' m sure most people watching this know what i' s a crushing blow for america. we have that much debt over our heads. neil: you asked -- josh: you asked it well because they were

josh: i'm josh mcelveen. jasmine root is one of the people charged in the case. she says she's morell jibl for lower bail than the others. reporter: josh, she is facing felony drug charges but is not charged with giving eve tarmey the drugs that investigators say killed her, and the defense wants that difference acknowledged by lowering her bail. jasmine reud shuffled into court, hoping to convince a judge to let her out of jail. >> there's a presumption of p.r. bail by statute unless there are concerns either for the danger to self or the community. reporter: the state then enumerated a number of community and self dangers that they believe the 41-year-old mother poses. >> it is clear that she has a significant substance abuse problem, your honor. reporter: the state cited a prior failure to appear charge out of the massachusetts in 2012 after a drug possession arrest. and expressed concern over the woman she plans to live with, who they say is a known heroin user and prostitute. >> people who use heroin are

josh: good evening, thank you for joining us. i'm josh mcelveen. jean: i'm jean mackin. tonight new details about a father of a 21-month-old girl who has been accused of placing the child on top of a wall on the other side of a safety railing. this was near the merrimack river in manchester. josh: andy hershberger is live there tonight with our top story. reporter: police say the child was on top of this concrete wall on the wrong side of a safety railing, with the rushing waters of the merrimack to the child's back. police have charged the child's father, 32-year-old matthew jordan, with two counts of reckless conduct saying he swung the girl over the safety railing and let her stand there on her own. court documents say there were several 911 calls saying witnesses thought an adult was letting a child get too close to the river. court records say a police officer arrived on scene and saw jordan place the child on the cell phone. >> the officer was immediate and swift in his actions, he advised the man to grab the child and bring him back to the proper side of the fence

josh: i'm josh mcelveen. investigators believe that ronald szettella is responsible for two armed robberies and a bomb threat. jean: as heather hamel explains, salem police are looking at szettella as well for a crime that involved a barack obama mask. reporter: yes, salem police assisted pelham when they searched the suspect's home and found evidence that connects him to crimes in both towns. while charges still haven't been brought in salem, pelham arrested szettella on three felonies, crimes that date back to 2013, the first was a bomb threat called in to an elementary school where he said he was going through a divorce and was hoping by making the call his kids would be released. more recently he's suspected of pulling off armed robberies at the gage hill farm convenience store in pelham this september as well as last september, and videos and then got a search warrant for szettella's house. >> almost all of the evidence that they needed as far as clothing that he wore when he made the bipartisan threat t
