josh brown, i turn to you. we focused on the call by j.p. morgan since the vaccine confirmation of november 6th of last year, faang names are the worst-performing stocks in the coverage universe. they have underperformed the s&p. almost all are down over the last 12 months and three months. is now the time to buy as j.p. morgan says? >> so i think it's a fascinating topic because even six months ago we were having conversations on this joe, judge, about whether or not the market could survive if these companies stumbled and how dependent the markets seemed to be on the faang trade, and of course that is completely untrue and the opposite happened. the russell 2000 raced 26% higher in the first quarter and massive outperformance by energy and industrials, and i think it's a little bit poetic justice for all of the people complaining about how index funds were dropping up stocks and the whole market is apple and microsoft. wrong again, sorry so now what happens? well, i'm long a few of these names and i do think you'll see dispersion, and it i

it's good to see everybody josh brown, i'll go to you first. what the market taketh away a day ago the market's trying to give it back today your thought here on post-big tech earnings at least a couple of them. what we're seeing so far in the trade of this market >> well, the earnings for the largest components of the indexes were fantastic and there's no way to look at them as anything other than that. so we did have an initial knee-jerk sell, sell the news that happens all of the time, but if you're a long-term investor, not based on meme, but retirement dollars, services, revenues is through the roof ipad grew 18% year over year remember when ipad was a dead product line like, everything that you would want -- revenue for wearables up 30%. all of the superlatives are there, so you say to yourself, hey, look, i have an opportunity. even facebook looks like it wants to bounce. so these are the market caps that matter to what the market does so when you cite the dow up, the s&p it's not moving on tootsie roll or amc theaters it's moving on the

. >> i was talking, george, to one of your big fans of your stock, josh brown, who is a contributor herenk you know he is a long term fan of crowd strike he was trying to explain to me the difference between what you do and other cyber security firms do part of it is the break down of revenues, the swat recurring incidence and the break down of revenues why does that work how has it been a successful model? >> i am a fan of josh's. i really do think he gets our business model i appreciate those comments. when you look at our model, 90 high pressure plus percent of our revenue is subscription based. annual recurring revenue the s.w.a.t. team comes in and look at what happened, how do we forensically examine the attacks, how do we make sure we can examine and bring these companies back to health we learn from these attacks. we learn what the adversary is doing. that goes back into our software and creates a better product but it creates a lot of pull lou for us where we are able to come in and turn those incidents into subscription revenue it is a small element but it is small by design bo

this is pretty extraordinary as well, democratic senator shared brown is calling on the senate to officially formally expel senators josh hawley and ted cruz. that's extraordinary. tell us why this is so, so potentially significant. >> it's significant because the point that sharod brown and others are trying to make is that, yes, the ultimate blame lies with president trump. but there should also be culpability and there should also be consequences, in this case, the ultimate political consequence for people who not just enabled the president in this, you know, falsely saying that the election was rigged, but also, it seemed to have been encouraging the protestors not to say that they were involved in it at all. but they, despite being a part of what we saw, ret torically and that ending up with the violence that we saw on the capitol, that's a big deal. and so, what you saw from sharod brown, it is, it is still a very partisan time. but for one senator to call for the expulsion of two other senators, no matter if it's across party lines or not is very rare. we saw late last week chris coons of delaware say that he wan

josh hawley. do you think they're actually going to suffer consequences? >> i think, you know, the senate, senate, you know, tends to hold back on disciplining their own, but there are calls. i saw sherrod brown call for they are expulsion. patty murray said they should resign. again, if you start from the premise that what we saw was a -- essentially an attempted coup, an insurrection to overturn the democratic results of this election, the idea that anyone involved in it could go through without consequences, basically inviting this to happen again. and it is worth noting that on the evening after the riot, when congress came back into session, the vast majority of house republicans voted to reject the results from arizona and pennsylvania, disenfranchise millions of voters, with the goal of making donald trump president for four more years. >> including the top republican in the house. >> his role in the riot did not disqualify him in their eyes. and so, you know, we have watched, i think, over these four years an astounding percentage of the republican party show itself to be willing to go along, to excuse, abet, enable trump as he has pushed and pushed and pushed against the rule of law.
