josh elliot is down at belmont park. so talk about some of the other competitors. >> reporter: you mentioned the fresh horses. that's become the crisis of conscious in the sport. these horses that will not run the derby or preakness before ending in the belmont. and the two horses you want to keep your eyes on are frosted and materiality. those are, in fact two horses that did run in the derby. they finished fourth and sixth respectively. neither horse ran in the preakness. so they've had the better part of a month off. they will be lying in wait. they are rested while american pharoah will be running his fourth race in eight weeks. so it is a true test. but again, if the triple crown was easy they'd win it every year. american pharoah regardless remains a very worthy favorite. >> and talk about that josh. you told us earlier that some of the other trainers think if anyone's going to do it it's american pharoah. what is so special about this horse. >> reporter: while i am low to put any horses comparing to secretariat, ar
