julie haener is off tonight. new details tonight, noel walker live in san jose on taylor street near highway 87, where the driver of that car inadvertently left a key piece of evidence at the scene. noel? >> reporter: frank, police reopened this section of taylor street a little more than an hour ago. it's one of a disturbing trend in san jose this year. only this time, police are looking for a hit and run driver. it was the beginning of the afternoon rush hour. everything on a busy trailer street in san jose came to a full stop. >> when i walked by, and i seen what happened, my immediate concern was it had something to do with someone speeding and a bicyclist and sure enough. >> he was likely struck by a vehicle. that vehicle fled the scene. >> reporter: investigators are calling it a felony hit and run. >> one of our big questions is, how many people actually saw this? >> taylor street tends to be pretty busy all day. >> reporter: the force of the crash knocked the victim out of his shoes. what appears to be a

julie haener is off tonight. new details tonight, noel walker live in san jose on taylor street near highway 87, where the driver of that car inadvertently left a key piece of evidence at the scene. noel? >> reporter: frank, police reopened this section of taylor street a little more than an hour ago. it's one of a disturbing trend in san jose this year. only this time, police are looking for a hit and run driver. it was the beginning of the afternoon rush hour. everything on a busy trailer street in san jose came to a full stop. >> when i walked by, and i seen what happened, my immediate concern was it had something to do with someone speeding and a bicyclist and sure enough. >> he was likely struck by a vehicle. that vehicle fled the scene. >> reporter: investigators are calling it a felony hit and run. >> one of our big questions is, how many people actually saw this? >> taylor street tends to be pretty busy all day. >> reporter: the force of the crash knocked the victim out of his shoes. what appears to be a
