and nasa scientists are celebrating this morning, the juneau spacecraft is now orbiting jupiter.t took almost five years for the tiny spacecraft to reach the biggest planet in our solar system. last night, it fired rockets to slow itself down. and in about a half hour later, sent the first message that, yes, it was in orbit. scientists say they were hoping for the best, and they were prepared for the worst. >> so we prepared a contingency communications procedure, and guess what? we don't need that anymore. >> can you imagine what it might feel like, but to actually have it to know that we can all go to bed tonight, not worrying about what is going to happen tomorrow? pretty awesome. >> now, for the next 20 months, juneau is expected to circle jupiter, in an orbit that travels both over north and south poles. it will be the first time astronomers will have a closeup look under the clouds that cover jupiter. scientists hope to learn more about how jupiter formed. which could lead to explaining how our solar system was created. >>> we are now just one month away from the start of t
