good morning, karen. have been talking about that fog all morning and we spotted it for the first time in one of our traffic cameras, the camera being 42 here in bellmawr, camden county. you can see it's relatively thick as you travel northbound coming out of the fog away from the a.c. expressway up to 295. at least there are no delays yet but you are dealing with the foggy conditions. we actually have less fog than yesterday morning down the shore. here along the garden state parkway at the cape may toll plaza and volume is light. south of here there is some construction to watch out for on the northbound parkway between wildwood and stone harbor. one lane blocked until midafternoon. meanwhile all construction from the overnight hours on the vine street expressway is gone, so everything is opened ready for you on the vine but the crews will return tonight at 11:00 and close it once again. volume building here on 95 as you travel southbound entering the work zone at cottman, again southbound by girard but

i'm meteorologist karen thomas. we are starting off on a steamy note as we look at temperatures in and around the areas this morning. already in the upper 70s. in some parts of the area, we are over 80 degrees already. we are checking in at 79 degrees in atlantic city and vineland, 77 right now in philadelphia. just a few clouds moving quickly through the area. so we are looking for plenty of sunshine today. if you do see clouds this mo morning, just hang on. they're moving quickly through. really no rain in the immediate area to speak of. we do have a front moving through the area today. it's going to kick up the winds for us, but that front will be dry. winds will be increasing. they already have. 16 miles per hour out of the southwest right now in dover, delaware. 13 miles per hour in wildwood. we are looking for the winds to increase as we move on through the afternoon. we could even have some peak wind gusts of about 35 to 40 miles per hour. so winds increasing and then they will die off through the overnight.

karen. >> all right dave. we expect major delays by rush hour in south jersey.re looking live at admiral wilson boulevard. this is route 30 approaching 130. we have construction blocking the two right lanes. also that ongoing construction that's out there on 38 and eastbound past 130 also blocking the two right lanes. they have all kinds of signs warning you about this. it's been causing big problems and will do so again. we have light traffic volume right now. no problems early on but we expect that to build. this is the ramp from i-95 northbound to cottman. construction blocking the ramp but we expect this to be cleared shortly. not seeing a delay because again such light volume heading you out but if you're headed out early watch for that. vine street expressway let's take you there live. all lanes have been closed in both directions. starting to see some of the ramps reopen. that's why we're seeing traffic move right now. we can still see police blocking it off. for the vine crews will return again tonight at 11 o'clock. until then we should see it completel

so, you're back to work this morning, karen rogers. welcome back. and a lot of our construction crews went back to work last night. they closed the vine street expressway once again for overnight work but as you can see is, it is reopened now where the vine joins up with the schuylkill everything's moving along just fine. they will shut it down again tonight starting at 11 o'clock. still some overnight work going on right now on the pennsylvania turnpike. the northeast extension southbound there's a zone between lansdale and mid-county blocking the left and center lanes and then on the east-west turnpike westbound at valley forge the left lane is also blocked as well as part of the off-ramp there. our crash we had this morning in lower gwynedd along 309 northbound at butler pike that's cleared out of the way and overnight construction on the burlington bristol bridge has also cleared but tonight starting at 9 o'clock they're going to close the burlington bristol bridge. at that point i would stay up on the turnpike connector bridge as an alternate.

i'm meteorologist karen thomas.es, as tracy and vai were saying, it was rocky weather yesterday but it moved quickly. the lineç of storms moved well off the coast. by midnight the system was well through the delaware valley, leaving behind damp roads and the damage it created. we had a peak wind gust at 70 miles an hour. i know some hail was reported in different parts of the viewing area. it was a strong storm. it's a far reaching line. this cold front stretches all the way down. look at this pull from the gulf. here's tropical storm colin. we're keeping an eye on that as that is poised to turn up into the north and move closer to the florida panhandle, headed straight up this way towards tampa. right now it's sitting about 355 nautical miles off of the coast of tampa. here's what we call the spaghetti mile. it's looking like it will come through parts of southern georgia, carolinas and right off south of the virginia coastline. shouldn't be a bother for us. we are keeping an eye on another cold front coming into
