karen hepp explains. >> reporter: the murder weapo weapon, methadone pills. the motive, insurance money. investigators say edward kirby his son eddie to team up and kill his older brother george who at 63 was already a sick m man. >> he decided to take advantage of his brother's illness and began planning, plotting with his son eddie to fraud lenly obtain 10 live insurance policies by pretending to be george kirby so they could collect more than $100,000 in benefits. >> reporter: they actually got away with it for awhile. collecting more than a hundred thousand bunks bucks from different insurance companies. eddie even brazenly moved into the victim's home neighbors say and started living large. >> he had a brand new car. he tore it up. >> reporter: yesterday, the jig was up and the law caught up with them. >> they come here yesterday morning 7:00 o'clock. >> reporter: how did the con work? investigators say edward tricked the insurance companies by impersonating his brother using a system for the disable. >> on the telephone with the insurance companies, eddie would use an i-p relay system which is a service access t
