but we start with meteorologist kari hall and, kari, where is the storm headed now? >> we are seeing the heaviest rain moving through san francisco and the peninsula right now. and it also extends into the east bay. now, for the south bay, we haven't seen much of it there, and it will get heavier as we go through late morning, early afternoon. storm ranger, mobile doppler radar, parked right now in front of the station on first street in san jose. and it is scanning around, getting us very high detailed view of what it looks like as some of the rain drops come out of the clouds. we're the only ones with this tool and it's definitely being put to good use as we are seeing some of the heavier rain continuing to move in. it's been over the north bay all throughout the morning and it's creating some low visibility for most of the city of san francisco over towards the east bay, san leandro where the bright reds and yellows there on the radar, and we will continue to see this working its way to the south as we go through the rest of the day. still more rounds of heavy rai

meteorologist kari hall is tracking the storm all morning long. another one is on the way. >> we are expecting some more rain to move in on friday with some more widespread and some heavy rain, but we are getting a chance to dry out now after some very heavy rain earlier this morning. looking at san jose and then over toward tiburon, you see the breaks in the cloud as temperatures start to rebound. we are now at 59 degrees there and a beautiful shot here at point reyes after we get clearing across the north bay where the rain was lighter. across the peninsula, south bay and east bay, now moving into the central valley, a couple of spotty showers still linger behind and as we go into the rest of the day, we may have some brief downpours, but overall looking at the more widespread rain moving out. we once again will have another system moving in on friday so details on that is coming up in the microclimate forecast. >> all right, kari, thank you very much. >>> trying to build back up after historic floods, some much needed aid is headed to businesse

kari hall has been watching that wind forecast for us. and we are going to get some information from her based on that. in just a few moments. you see a lot of water still poured down on the building, and you can see from sky ranger up above that it is a very large building. you some of the other buildings nearby. what can you tell us about the direction that the smoke is go and the speed at which it's moving? >> right now, we have seen calm winds, even behind the weather system that moved through earlier this morning. and live look at the camera. you can see the smoke that kind of billows away, farther off towards the south and east. so this is what we're seeing as far as current conditions. calm winds and temperature as 54 degrees. it is cool, and as we go through the morning, going to see those winds picking up a bit. we may have some gusts up to 16 miles per hour. and blowing some of that smoke closer the 980 area. away from 580. closer, farther off towards the south and east, as we go throughout the morning, as the winds pick up to a
