we see that every day, kasie.gle day there are skirmishes on the border, hezbollah is firing rockets. and with it being a mile range of the border, let's keep in mind, over the last two weeks, israel has killed over 30 hezbollah terrorists. that's a steep price also for hezbollah. israel itself has lost some soldiers up there. and i think as we look down south, towards the potential ground incursion into gaza that will be another stem up and potential trigger for hezbollah phone activity in the north and that could lead to a wider conflict and that's something that israel is concerned about. what could ultimately happen, if that did happen, gaza would be the secondary issue or threat on the table. all israeli resources, air force, ground forces, would move up north and would focus on that volatile front. because hezbollah is far stronger than hamas in gaza. >> yeah, i take that point, of course, this is all unfolding right now because of what hamas did in southern israel. you actually wrote a piece in "the jerusal

the basic thing is this, kasie, u.s.cial forces are great, but they are not, you know, in that neighborhood. in other words, that have not worked in gaza. they have not worked in any other of those other areas that are under palestinian control, like in the west bank, for example. and that is usually been the province of the israelis. now, could they do something? yes, they could train-up very quickly and try do a rescue operation or something like that. but it would be very, very difficult to do that, because you're talking a very, very tough target. you know, especially in the hostages are in the tunnels. i think it's highly unlikely, but nothing is impossible. so that's something you ought to keep an eye out for. >> we're obviously waiting, there's a wide expectation israel is going to launch the ground invasion of gaza, they're asking them to evacuate. the rafah border crossing has been closed. people are amassing there. there seems to be a lot of finger pointing about why it's not open, what's really going on there.
