katherine scott is live at the consolidated school district in elsmere, katherine. >> reporter: sara, the 15-year-old student is in stable condition. we spoke to a representative from the school district. they asked wilmington police for added police presence along the area where the shooting happened earlier. they asked for police dickenson high school where the student attends. >> we heard shots. >> reporter: shots fired in the wilmington neighborhood around 6:45 a.m., a 15-year-old boy was hit near west 27th anticipate north van buren avenue. the bus was heading to dickenson high school where the victim attendance. neighbors saw the ensuing chaos. >> we saw kids running this way we saw kids jump on the bus and the bus driver was telling the kids to get on the bus for their protection. >> five or six shots, i wanted to make sure my son was okay. >> reporter: the teen was hit in his arm and torso. the 9th grader was treated on scene by paramedics and transported to dupont hospital in stable condition. >> the extra staff went out to the school to make sure everybody is okay. >> report

katherine scott has more details. >> reporter: there are ffaa rules for a drone operator. while he was flying the drone over the protesters, the drone came close to a police helicopter. last night more protests in philadelphia hundreds marched through the streets. suddenly a drone was spotted flying over the demonstrators you could see from chopper 6 hd that had been following the protests. police say at one point it flew close to a helicopter that was monitoring the protesters at 18th and walnut. the chopper followed the drone as it made its way to evo building to cirrus center south. there they saw the man controlling the drone where the landed. the man was seen picking up the drone and taking it inside the building. swat officers were called into investigate. >> i saw a drone flying i guess it's a drone situation close to a helicopter. >> reporter: officers took a 20-year-old man into custody inside the building. they recovered the drone he allegedly operated over center city streets. >> i guess if you own a drone you should be a ware of the rules and regulations or els

"action news reporter katherine scott is live at the middletown township police department. s got the full story. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. that's right, police say the two people who were shot were the same two people who tried to rob a pizza place in levittown. one of those alleged robbers died at the scene. the other was taken to the hospital in serious condition. let's go to video from last night. this happened around 10:00 p.m. at the shopping center in levittown. it's on veteran highway near trenton road. police say two men each armed with handguns walked into the pizza shop planning to rob it. they told the three people inside to get on the ground. that was a customer and two employees. police say the men started pistol whipping the customer and that's when the tables turned. police say the customer then pulled out a handgun he was carrying and shot both of the robbers. one was shot in the chest and died at the scene. the other was shot in the shoulder and neck. hehe was taken to saint mary's medical center in serious condition and was go

katherine scott is live on the scene in the city's olney section. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, two children were taken to area hospitals in critical condition. the fire department has not provided an update on their condition. the police just opened up the block in the last few minutes. crews have been on the scene throughout the night in olney. firefighters were called out around 9:45 a.m. for a fire in a row home on the 300 block of east sheldon street, they were here in 4 minutes and started fighting the flames. the fire commissioner said there was heavy smoke inside they found and rescued two children who were trapped on the second floor of the home. firefighters have not said if there was anyone else inside who escaped before they got there. paramedics treated the children on the way to the hospital. one child 18-month-old treated for smoke and the other child 6 to 8 years old was taken to st. christopher's hospital. >> it affected me, i seen one of my little brothers like that. >> we hope we have a positive outcome w
