kathy has got a peek at your forecast. kathy? >> well, iain, we are talking about some cloudy skies out there right now. you can see some blue bleeding through the clouds. temperatures in the 80s today. a far cry from the past three days where we made it into the 90s. atlantic city 85. the same in allentown. wilmington and philadelphia 83. trenton and reading in the lower 80s as well. ultimate doppler we're seeing a few showers firing up to the west. that's just about it. but the main event is to the southwest with a front and we'll see this front lifting northward during the day tomorrow with more showers and a few thunderstorms. 82 right now in philadelphia. the same in wilmington and millville. down the shore we have a bit of a breeze keeping it cooler so tonight, temperatures will be falling through the 80 noose the 70s with that easterly wind at about 7 miles an hour. by 11:00 o'clock, a comfortable 72. and still a little sticky. during the day tomorrow, we're talking about frequent downpou downpours. the sun will be returni

meteorologist kathy orr joining us now. kathy, what's going on right now? >> inches of rain down the shore in northern delaware and also in chester county. so a lot of that flooding has receded thankfully and we're watching another line of showers and thunderstorms build to the north and west of the lehigh valley. we do have one severe cell severe thunderstorm warning in effect for columbia north cumberland and schuylkill counties until 6:00. we'll see as this moves towards the south and east it if it goes toward the lehigh valley. i'll keep you updated on that. it's pretty decent out there. we're looking at that heat wave, that ended some storms moving this evening and the possibility of a few scattered thunderstorms that could be severe. we are under the marginal risk for severe weather in this area highlighted by green. the only severe cell to the north and west of the lehigh valley that could make it in by later this evening. so we'll keep an eye on that. in the meantime temperatures looking quite warm. 87 in philadelphia. 88 in wilmington. 87 in millvi

meteorologist kathy orr here now with your forecast at 11:00. kathy? >> we're talking about heat and humidity. if you step outside you can feel that moisture in the air already in trenton we're looking at a partly cloudy sky. temperatures are still warm. it's 79 degrees at this late hour. the dew points at 68. so that's bordering on uncomfortable tonight. it will be oppressive over the next couple of days. if you look at the temperatures the poconos 67. 76 in allentown. wilmington 79 and wildwood it is 74. that's in rio grand a little inland north wildwood it's 73. you have the strong southerly wind. ocean city 75. same as the boardwalk in atlantic city. look at the ocean water temperature. that's up to 74 degrees. a huge improvement in just a couple of days. on ultimate doppler we have a few showers moving through as part aft stronger complex that came from ohio. a few spotty showers possibly overnight tonight. otherwise, it will just be more muggy during the day tomorrow. look at the feels like reading we call this stick factor when you add the heat

kathy orr is tracking the sizzle factor. the summer sizzle continues today we made it to 95 that make it an official heat wave we're not going to stop today. this will be the longest heat wave of the season. we're going for seven days and still some fun down the shore. you have to love it. wildwood lit up on the summer night. the temperature is 86 degrees. the dew point temperature 66. so still quite muggy out there. ultimate doppler shows a few showers that have just moved offshore. part of a more intense complex. isn't severe weather earlier this evening to the north and east of philadelphia. 86 right now in the city. 86 in wilmington. 85 in lancaster. 72 in allentown little bit cooler there. some showers earlier. 81 in millville. ac at the airport it is 83 degrees. down the shore we have that on shore flow that southerly wind. ocean city and sea isle at 81 degrees. now, 82 up a degree in oc on the boardwalk in atlantic city it is 81 degrees. the ocean water temperature now at 76. down a few degrees from yesterday. dew poi

kathy orr has your forecast in 15 seconds.here tonight with some comfortable temperatures. and we're looking at low temperatures mainly in the 60s from the poconos to the city and down toward the shore. temperatures right now in philadelphia 70. dew point is at 61. so it's not quite humid but there is some moisture still out there. 70 in wilmington. 65 in millville. 61 in the poconos right now and down the shore temperatures in the 60s and 70s. that on shore flow continues but the ocean continues to be warm as well. as we look at our current set up you can see a few clouds moving our way ahead of a warm front. the warm front is moving through the midwest some showers and thunderstorms between that warm front and cold front and this storm system will be moving toward to our south and bringing some rain potentially for flooding rain into the region as early as late tomorrow night and into friday. i think the heaviest rain comes friday afternoon and friday night. so as we go hour by hour with this fox future cast tomorrow morning
