"abc 7 news" reporter katie marzullo joins us now. >> they didn't have to look far. they were friends of bombing suspect of tamerlan tsarnaev. they report they are in custody of the f.b.i. we just learned from the u.s. attorneys office in massachusetts that they are expected to appear in federal court in boston at 12:30 our time. take a look at this picture. two of the suspects are posing with tsarnaev. they have been identified as two university massachusetts dartmouth students from kazakhstan. they are charged with lying to investigators about knowing the whereabouts of the tsarnaev brothers after the bombing. also, conspiracy to ab obstructed justice after the facts. remember investigators were searching a landfill where preliminary reports that the friends of the brothers threw away evidence of the bombings, perhaps even a backpack full of fireworks from his dorm room. notices clear if dzhokar tsarnaev asked them to do that for him. the men were being held on student visa violations. this is video taken into custody. they actually appeared in video for visa heari

katie marzullo? >> the sheriff of hood county is speaking. we have a look at his news conference. i have been listening and he just said they have accounted for seven of the missing people. he said they accounted for 7 of the 14 missing but that leaves senator missing. fire recuse teams will look for them and a hard search if a few more hours. as any search the sheriff said any will leave no stone unattorneyed. -- unturned. the sheriff confirmed the death toll stands at six and they are still working to i.d. those who have been killed but as far as he knows no children were kill killed. 22 are still in the hospital. i have watched the video all morning and you can see emergency personnel on the ground and some citizens. there is a fire truck on the screen. some citizens, homeowners are taking pictures of what used to be their home. 250 were forced from the area bused out after the storm hit. three tornadoes hit in north texas. also, 20,000 people still without power. we streaming the news conference with the sheriff so if you want to continue to listen you can find that at abc7new

abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has more on this. >> 20,000 people are without power this morning according to the abc7 news affiliate in houston in two hard-hit communities. more than half of the homes in two to three square mile are in the dark but schools will open. all of that as the crews are searching for missing people. look at damage done from the pictures above the homes, roofs are torn off, furnitureture and erlongings are strewn ev and people are walking around taking pictures, presumably homeowners. three tornadoes hit north texas, and the sheriff says that six people are dead and officials are trying to account for 14 other people but at this point it is not clear if they are missing or, hopefully, away from the area. the video of the tornadoes, the storms last 250 people homeless and 50 people were hurt, nearly half of them were transferred to ft. worth for a higher level of care. >> the information is that people were found in homes and they were hard hit, the homes, were collapsed and destroyed. they were probably hit by flying debris. >> the storms brought heavy rain, roads

abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has more on why she is going public. >> she is sharing her story to help other women, so women know they can get gene testing to predict their risk of getting cancer and wants the testing to be made available to all women. right now it is $3,000 and not covered by insurance which can be a barrier. in her op-ed in the "new york times" she talks of her mother who died of ovarian cancer at age 56 and jolie got tested and found out she carried the gene. doctors said she had an 87 percent chance of getting breast cancer and 50 percent chance of ovarian cancer but now her chances of developing breast cancer has dropped to 5 percent. she says her partner has been by her side every step of the way and we are hearing from him with a statement thanking the medical team and saying, i fine her choice as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic. cheryl crow "so brave." jolie said the procedures starts february 2, and finished the treatments including reconstructive surgery on april 27. >> thank you, katie. the i.r.s. targeting of conservative groups coul

abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has the numbers. >> fire is up to 10,000 acres.s 8,000 until 30 minutes ago. now that the sun is up you can see how much smoke there is. very dramatic overnight flames. containment is 10 percent but a captain says the estimate will likely drop as the fire continues to grow. the flames are threatening 20,000 homes and 100 commercial buildings and 15 homes have been damageed, nothing destroyed and no one hurt. several neighbors are under evacuation orders and evacuations for cal state channel island have been lifted but there is a smoke advisory in affect near the college because of agricultural buildings. this is a tough firefight for crews. it is very windy. we are taking a different look from another van take point, windy, not too much hot and dry with more than 900 fires personnel and lots of equipment on the ground and in the air and two bay area fire agencies are picking up, san mateo county and san ramon valley have sent resources south. if you plan to head south pacific coast highway is closed as of 9:00 last night. >> thank

katie marzullo is in the newsroom with amazing pictures. >> you have to see them. we actually have live pictures to show you, from a distance, an apartment building, three story apartment building in the center of the screen and a huge gaping whole in the of radio. the plane, already loaded on to the back of a flatbed truck with crews pulling it from the apartment building moments ago. we will show you the video as a huge crane pulls the cessna out of the roof of the building. fire official says the plane ran out of fuel and it crashed but it was good news after at crash because there was no haz-mat or fire situation. the fire official said that building is structurally intact. also, only minor injuries, two people hurt, one who was on the plane and the other person was in the parent building. they both went to the hospital. injuries are not serious. nine adults, seven children, and three pets had to be evacuated from the building of at crash. the plane was coming from philadelphia headed for a regional airport in virginia and the pilot tried to land in dulles but

abc7 news reporter katie marzullo is in the newsroom. three brothers have been arrested? >> three brothers in jail right now and could be charged in the next 24 hours. we have a look outside the house in question, this is if cleveland, ohio, police are searching the house which is near the police cars. we do not know what agents have found. >> look at this video, one of the missing women identified the captor as ariel castro who used to work as a school bus driver and the other two are 50 and 54-year-old brothers. inside the house police found three women and a six-year-old child, we do not know who the ill girl is, and michelle knight disappeared when she was 19. amanda berry vanished in 2003 before she was 17. and gina dejesus was 14 when she disappeared and were held captives until they heard berry begging for help and the neighbor helped her escaped and they called police together. >> on the door. we can't get in that way because the door has so much you cannot fit. we kicked the bottom. she comes out with the little girl and says call 9-1-1. my name is amanda berry.

abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has more. >> the investigation turned to the inner circle. cnn reports that the widow of the older brother, tamerlan tsarnaev, spoke to her husband after his picture appeared on the news as a bombing suspect. we do not know what the two said to each other. as for the friends of the younger brother, authorities have chargeed two two for attempting to impede the bombing investigation by throwing away a backpack that had explosive powder removed and they, too, saw the pictures on the news of the suspects and texted their friend, you look like the bombing suspect. he texted back, lol and he temperatured that they could have what they wanted from his room and they found the backpack they are accused of throwing away in a landfill. >> he has cooperated fully with the authorities and looks forward to the truth coming out in this case. >> the third friend went to high school with dzhokhar tsarnaev, and he is a u.s. citizen and he is accused of lying to federal investigators when they asked about the alleged destruction of evidence. >> the two face up

abc7 news reporter katie marzullo has the latest. >> 10,000 people impacted, 2,400 homes gone and possibly $2 billion in damages. the national weather service calling the tornado ef-5 as big as they get. this is new amateur video of the twister traveling 17 miles and more than a mile wide at some points. according to tornado history project, there have only been 58 over5's since 1950. moore, oklahoma, is the other city to be hit by one twice. officials do not think they will find anymore victims and they believe everyone is accounted for. that means the tornado killed 24 people including nine children. no one was killed at the elementary school but a teacher suffered a serious injury. her leg was impaled as she protected her students and her two daughters among the students. >> i asked my daughter if she could see, if it was something that could be lifted off my leg and she realized and screamed it was in my leg. i could not go into hysterics in front of the students and children. i had to be calm for them. classes are canceled for the rest of the school yard in moore. graduation ceremonie
