joining me kay hagan and msnbc's joy reid. senator hagan what would this bill mean to the women of north carolina if it becomes law? >> well if this is a health care bill about women i am glad any state legislature in raleigh is not my doctor. when i look at what the leadership and the general assembly is doing, under a sneak attack, they put forward -- they forced a sweeping anti-women's health care bill that -- with no public notice, no transparency and that doesn't pass a public scrutiny test in north carolina. those are not the values that we hold. this is certainly a distraction. what we've got to be focused on in north carolina, everybody tells me, the number one issue is jobs and the economy. and what is our general assembly do? it once again right before a holiday weekend, with no public notice, no transparency, this is the kind of legislation they put forward. they have been working on anti-middle class legislation, anti-women and anti-voter rights and it is wrong, it is not the values in north carolina. >> joy reid,

it happened at the kay jeweler's out let. >> reporter: police say the suspects were in the store heret the outlet for five minutes and i'm told when they walked out, they had more than $100,000 worth of jewelry with them. let's get right over to the video. this was around 3:30 sunday morning. it is just seconds after the thieves busted through the front door using a car. now at first, you can see the three thieves pulling off those sheets that cover up the glass. then this. they pretty much smash every glass case in the store before grabbing the jewelry and stuffing it into bags. police tell me that the thieves most likely knew exactly what they wanted. >> it was a wide range of jewelry that is normally at kay's. they were selective. they ran by a lot of open cases. the cases they selected they smashed from the side and reached in to grab what was in there. >> reporter: i checked with investigators tonight. they said the suspects were able to escape in a white and tan sudan and a station wagon. reporting, scott rates, kron 4 news. >>> this is a new thing being tested. experts say some

captured on surveillance video between 3:36 and 4:00 this smorng at the kay jewelers at the livermore outlet mall. before they spashed nearly half of the jewelry cases they smashed their way into the store, driving a vehicle into the front doors and pushing the metal curtains in just enough to get inside. >> once inside, according to the surveillance cameras that we've seen, they used a sledge hammer and stole a lot of the jewelry. >> reporter: it was four minute job. while the surveillance camera captures the thievery it doesn't capture the identities. all three were wearing masks and hoodies. the police spokesman says the time figure will be more than a hundred grand. a spokesman for the parent company of kay jewelers says we work with local authorities to assist in their investigation and provide all relevant details to them for reference. the livermore outlet which just opened last november has 24 hour security. the guards did not hear this commotion in time. instead, a glass break alarm alerted the police department. they say that mall security did get a good look at the suspecte
