all right so some awareness at least being raised but i'm wondering kelly if you see this leading to any change. well i think we have to be clear about what we're talking about it's hard to even talk about the middle class in the us anymore there's been a big concentration in wealth and in spending power towards the upper end but at the same time the lower end the number of people who are on food stamps and who are otherwise struggling extremely has also increased so it's really squeezed out what was once thought of as this kind of broad middle class so the real question i guess not so much for politicians but for all of us going forward is what does that really mean for the u.s. economy and unfortunately i think this concept of the great recession was the period of most suffering and we'd be sort of gradually recovering it's been turned on its head as people realize that in fact there's still a lot of repair that needs to be done to balance sheets as they were destroyed and damaged during the recession but also during the proceeding events that led up to it there's a lot of question

i am tony kelly. i certainly don't believe you should send the report back, but that doesn't really mean it is truly an acceptable report. let me point out three things quickly that i don't believe the report did. one, the evaluation of commercial rate still presumes that the average commercial raid in san francisco is 50% of what the published commercial rates are, which really doesn't make much sense. it matches what i have been hearing from merchant associations across the city. this was based on anecdotal conversations between the staff, department and others. there is no real reason for why that rate is cut in half for the purposes of the study. the evaluation of services. ricology in san francisco is credited for providing $18 million in free services. there is no break down for how that is considered. it looks like there is a lot more information on one side of the ledgers than the other. that brings up more questions than answers. third, on the barging, which has been a deficient part the stud
