good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you ken. we're here on those southbound lanes here, and you can see traffic is crawling as only one lane is open all because of this police activity. you can see a number of police cars lined up along the right- hand side here of the southbound lanes with their lights flashing. there are a number of officers in the woods searching for suspects. police were attempting to pull over a black dodge charger in passaic. that car took off. multiple police departments attempted to pull over the vehicle on route 3, then new jersey turnpike, and then george washington bridge. in this area is when police reported shots fired at them, and then the suspects build out of the car and ran through the woods. police followed the chase into the woods. at this point a number of law enforcement vehicles with their flashlights beaming heavily through this wooded area. any injuries, but at this point also police have mentioned that they have two suspects in custody. what they're doing right now is searching for more

you, ken. were able to get the fire under control and now they have been able to finally put it out. they are the hoses here but they'll spend the next few hours monitoring this house that again went on fire for the second time here. and let me tell you how it started the. first fire broke out last night around 9:00 inside a vacant home. and those flames quickly spread to the two homes next door. and from those two home, everyone made it out okay. that's the good news, however a pet cat died in the fire. the american red cross helping the two the -- red cross is helping the two families this morning. so when the fire broke out about two hours ago, they were not inside. also last night, four firefighters were injured here. this morning, everyone is doing okay. now investigators are looking into what caused the initial fire and then of course what made it flair up again this morning. once again, fire crews here are going in the home, in and out of the home, watching the hot spots and trying to fi
