eyewitness news anchor ken rosato has the story. gifts this holiday season but could they pose a threat of fire. one louisiana family now alleging that their home was destroyed by a hover board gone up in flames. both wheels was like a fire work, i seen sparks flying and before i could yell the house is on fire the middle part of the board that would go in between your feet went poof. >> it was hard to put it out. it was pretty big, caught flames fast. >> the local authorities investigating the cause of the fire. this is not the first allegation of smoking hover boards. timothy of alabama posting this video to youtube saying three case after purchasing the board it went up in smoke. both were sold on amazon.com through vendors. abc news has reached out to their manufacturers for statements but have not heard back. fire isn't the only potential danger people have reported about these hot new items. the consumer product safety commission says it's received hover boards in the last three months. social media sites are packed with hover

good morning, i'm ken rosato. >> and i'm shirleen allicot in for lori stokes. today is thursday, december 3rd and we are learning much more about the man and woman at the center of that deadly shooting rampage in san bernardino, california. abc news just received pictures old -- the suspects, 28-year- old syed farook, also overnight police also identified the oversuspect -- other suspect, 25-year-old tashfeen malik. >> they were married and police say the suspects stormed the inland regional center and opened fire killing 14 people and wounding 17 others. police also say farook worked there on occasion and both suspects were later killed in a gun battle with police. >> eyewitness news reporter dray clark is live with an update on the investigation. >> reporter: good morning, the shooters were prepared and this was a well coordinated attack. what we don't know is why. why would two people walk into a building and fire indiscriminately on innocent victims? police say the shooters are dead after a lengthy gun battle with police. >> that was flatout heroic what the
