and i'm kenny choi. start with a live look outs >>> good morning, it's thursday, november 16th. i'm michelle griego. >> good morning, i'm kenny choi. let's start with a live look outside on this thursday morning. a live look at the traffic in oakland, 880 on the right and look at all that rain, that shot near san francisco city hall. rain is definitely coming in. hi-def doppler showed us coming in. it doesn't lie. >> it's happening right now. south san francisco seeing a lot of it. san francisco just got a ton of rain coming off the coast. satellite and radar imagery gives you a kind of wider view of what's happening. it's really a lot of the moisture right off of the coast that is being ushered right on into san francisco. so the coast, of course, first in line to face all of this. but overnight tonight, the north bay really got a lot. you know, right now still not

i'm kenny choi. first let's start with traffic and weather. jaclyn is tracking our commute on this friday morning >> you know what? i had high hopes because it wasn't raining as hard compared to yesterday, which was absolutely crazy, but we are tracking a couple of problems now. this is all just coming in, into the south bay. we have a traffic alert for drivers on northbound 87. two lanes blocked right at curtner -- excuse me, one lane blocked. 30 minutes from highway 85 up to 101. and 101 dealing with a couple earlier problems. another accident cleared out of lanes northbound 101 at oakland road. slow from hellyer to san antonio. 43 minutes. then your ride continues to be a little sluggish once you get past those accidents. interstate 80 right near ashby, westbound direction on the right side of your screen there where all those brake lights are, report of an accident right near powell blocking at least one lane. and that is causing delays for drivers heading along westbound 80. 26 minutes from highway 4 to the maze. metering lights on, and t

i'm kenny choi. >> i'm michelle griego. kpix 5's jessica flores is live in santa rosa this morning monitoring current conditions. >> reporter: good morning. we are in the fountain grove community and the right now, there is a light drizzle but the rain was really pounding the area overnight. that's why crews are really concerned about possible mudslides, flooding and even sinkholes. we did talk to the assistant fire marshal who says there were no major issues overnight. they are still patrolling the area and trying to find if there are any issues. crews have been putting down sandbags and wattles for weeks now preparing for rain. they want to contain runoff. officials are worried the rain could wash toxic ash into storm drains and the water supply so they are using the wattles to filter out debris. >> we have to hope they catch the debris and it doesn't get into the creeks. >> reporter: the fire also melted underground pipe which has already led to one sinkhole in the fountain grove community. more than a dozen crews have b
