we have the state capital at 73. 76 at bwi marshall and 73 on kent island. again we talked about winds coming from the northeast. as long they're coming from the north and a little off the water, we're getting some moisture, that's helping to add to our cloud cover today. it is a light wind. and it's going to just keep a bit of a refreshing feel in the air. as you look across most of the state, pretty clear as far as the satellite picture shows. hardly any clouds out there. we do have clouds off to the west and then some just along the coastline. what we're keeping an eye on is something marty showed earlier. a system to the west is going to be moving this direction. what it's going to do -- first it's going to shoot clouds in our direction. that's going to add to the cloud cover as we move into tomorrow afternoon. and then the moisture starts to move across. it's going to primarily go across through the north, but as we've discussed, it's going to be clipping us. we're going to be right on the lower edge of this, on the fringe. so we are going to keep in th

and 87 on kent island. talk about those winds. well, that easterly component is continuing to bring in moisture. and a nice change. it will be a bit of a change when this starts to come in off the sea and cool things down. but fornow, things are cooling off on the land. we did see the clouds break. front that stalled to the east of us, over the last few days, has been creating just enough of a dynamic to keep that flow in from the east. and we have been seeing all of those clouds. they started to break in the afternoon. but with that break, the sun really started to heat us up. now, what we're watching is a larger area of disturbance. down across, mississippi, the tennessee valley. it's going to continue to funnel that humid air in place. and the hot temperatures will be with us right on in through the week. that will not change. as that moves in by tomorrow, we'll see a chance of thunderstorms, some of them very strong in the afternoon. we'll keep an eye on that, as we move into the afternoon. another front comes in behind that.

in oakland, 72 in ocean city but mostly falling somewhere between the two. 66 in columbia. 69 on kent island and 64 in bellaire. talked about that light wind coming across the science center from the north. again, winds are variable but a bit of a southerly flow and a southeasterly wind around hagerstown at 1-mile-per-hour. we did have the severe thunderstorm warnings in effect for parts of carol and frederick county yesterday. those storms rolled right on up to the northeast. it left us with a lot of warm, mours air and that air stays in place and now is kind of settled. and we'll feel that humidity level, the dew points are much higher today and tomorrow than they have been and we're going to feel that warm front that's going to lift through and bring us more of that warm moist air will be here tomorrow and then tomorrow afternoon we start to see the approach and passage of this front. that's going to stir things up a bit so we'll have a bit of a chance of rain tomorrow afternoon and we'll start to see a bit of a change and this is your weekend. things start to dry out by saturday. so with

and in bellaire. 72 in the airport and down in annapolis and over in the nation's capital, 70 on kent island. those winds have been coming in with a northeasterly component bringing with them cooler air and more moisture off the ocean and the bay. that cool air is going to keep our temperature suppressed under the average of about 88 degrees. but we're going to see a good bit of moisture also. this is part of a bigger picture that extends all the way down to the south. what we're seeing is a stationary front just offshore and a bit of disturbance riding along that and that is kicking back some of the moisture off the ocean in the bay. that is why we're getting that northeasterly flow with that low moving up to the northeast. as it continues to move away shs we'll get a bit of drying in here for tomorrow. so tomorrow a bit of a break for your wednesday but thursday another front moves on through here with a better chance of rain coming through in the afternoon and again off and on through the day but a better chance through the heat of the day. we'll start to see some drying out by the weeken
