kent island same scenario. you see the clouds billowing up, more so in the afternoon. still a few people at the beach after labor day and mostly cloudy skies. humid conditions, temperatures now in the upper 80s. with that south breeze, not a lot of relief because that's a very warm southerly breeze, but still something to stir the air. the pattern here is one of mostly cloudy skies with some sunny breaks, especially in southern maryland. that's the area we've seen a few showers break out. any isolated showers that break out over the next few hours could develop into a fairly heavy downpowmplet the bulk of the moisture arrives in earnest overnight. wednesday will feature most of the leftover moisture from the remnants of what was hurricane and tropical storm isaac. that low will drift further south. our front will begin to push in toward the day on thursday, and that will mean the possibility of some more showers. another humid day thursday. but as the front comes in, that will clear us out. friday looks great. the good weather should hold until the first part of our sa

kent island, showers off and on. a wet weather scenario at beaches. it was not the best beach weather, especially the second half of the weekend. temperature wise low allot heat statewide, 70s to the west. 70s to the east. all of a sudden, a humid pattern, extremely muggy conditions. it feels rather warm it. feels like almost 90 with the clouds and rain. feels like the mid-90s toward frederick. even with the clouds uncomfortable. winds from the south, not much to stir the air. moisture from isaac. that is the story the next several days, a little boundary over canada will squeeze the moisture to the east before they begin to diminish. you see how far reaching the rains are reaching into illinois. that's the center of the leftover of eye tack. we're in the beginning of this wet weather scenario. future trend shows showers will continue on an on and off basis, this is right through wednesday night, still tremendous on and off scattered showers in the area. dry air would be knocking in the door. scree active trop -- very active tropics. tropical storm le

let's take it outside at kent island where we are looking at plenty of cloud cover this morning. there's a view from hemmingways and we can see the clouds persisting as we go throughout the day, but we will get a few breaks in the cloud cover as well. we can see it on the satellite and radar. not a whole lot of rain this morning, just a few spotty showers now heading over into cecil county, around the bel aire area. but, again, this will start to diminish and maybe a few more popping up as we go through time. let's widen out the view because our eye does take us to this area of low pressure that will be sliding south into the gulf of mexico. we're going to keep our eyes watched on that. that could become a tropical system as we head through the next 48 hours. speaking of a tropical system, we already have it here in tropical storm leslie, the winds sustained at about 65 miles an hour, moving very slowly. it is forecasted to become a category 2 hurricane, but it should stay away from us, maybe bring a lot of high surf and rip currents to the beaches as we go into the weekend. this

coastal areas like shady side over toward queens town, kent island this is all moving to the east, northeast at a pretty good clip. behind it with light winds, some clearing, we've got some fog. stafford, warrenton, culpeper. visibilities a quarter mile. in martinsburg we have three- quarters after mile. half mile in petersburg. fog in those areas that got the heavier rains overnight. that could be a problem for another couple of hours. 60s across the board here. we've got 66 in easton. 61 in luray. that's one of our cool spots. the tappahannock airport all the way down to 59 degrees. outside on our weather camera, good visibility now. had a light shower at the top of the hour at national. they're dry at the moment. 67 with a west, northwest wind at 5 miles per hour. there goes the rain this morning. it's pulling up in toward new england. low pressure is actually helping to produce the enhanced rainfall. but this front still draping across the ohio valley. it's slowly going to pull through us. as it does, it will help fire a few more showers and potential thunderstorms mainly south of town.
