i'm kira klapper. vianey arana is back with a look at our microclimate forecast.y. >> i know. it's time for the next round of showers, current temperatures it is dry out there, temperatures ranging in the 40s but still a little cold in livermore at 38 degrees. san jose right now 45, san francisco 54, and our temperature trend into the afternoon will eventually climb into those upper 50s, low 60s. we'll start to notice an increase in cloud cover into the afternoon. as far as the rain goes, it looks like as of right now, our best chance of seeing that rain will move in later tonight, so for the most part, your first half of today is going to be okay. you're going to be able to go outside and hang out, but as we head in toward the evening and monday morning, we get another round of showers in throughout the bay area on and off, and those breezy winds will begin to pick up. there is a beach hazard statement in effect along the coastline, so i'll of course go over that and as could you see the radar right there, we've already got some rain approaching southern californ

i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at our microclimate forecast.howers on my drive in this morning. >> yes, we're still expecting to see the wind and widespread rain, so we've already got some light rain coming down in san francisco. it's eventually going to get heavier and this is the reason why. look off to the northern california area, where you see all the green and lightning and all of that. well, this will bring a chance of seeing some thunderstorms develop. you could see that line, that cold front that's going to continue to sweep from north to south into the afternoon, and with this cold front, one of our concerns is going to be the wind, which is why a wind advisory will be in effect tonight starting at 6:00, especially for the coastal mountains. as far as accumulations and rain totals, we're looking at anywhere from 0.1 to 0.5 of an inch, so not a huge rainmaker but it will pack its own power when the wind drives through. we have upper 50s on the map, a couple low 60s but get ready because it's really going to be a rainy day, and it's goi

i'm kira klapper.rologist rob mayeda is in with a look at our microclimate forecast. we're under a microclimate weather alert. >> we have a wind advisory again today. lot more rain with this particular storm. that's going to be the big difference that you'll notice today. right now, the rain starting to fill in to parts of the north bay. you can see a lot of it offshore and unlike yesterday, where it came through quickly for the morning, we had off and on scattered showers. this is going to last for the better part of the day. coastal and santa cruz mountains seems to be the prime focus of the heaviest rain. two to three inches. for the valleys a half inch to an inch of rain, ramping up midday through the evening and wind advisory 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. highs in the mid to upper 50s today. wind at times. still looks good for monday and the national championship game, showers end by monday morning and another storm with high surf headed to the coast tuesday and wednesday. another storm every two days.
