kris sanchez joining us live there. how are the workers doing? >> reporter: we understand they were treated at the trauma center at stanford university and it's because they fell from 40 feet up, managed to catch somewhere halfway down and the fire chief says it's a miracle they didn't land all the way on the ground. take a look at the picture that we got from the construction site. you can see the three men in the picture looking up at the beams that the two-iron workers were on and harnessed to 40 feet up above the ground when for some reason that beam failed, falling halfway down to the ground before catching and stopping abruptly. according to the menlo park fire chief, their fall was stopped by their safety harnesses before tae hit the ground. this is video of the construction scene where the work will stop until cal osha gets to the bottom of how this incident happened. we're looking into the builders' safety record level 10 construction based out of sunnyvale is the third largest contractor in the bay area. now this incident happened at th

kris sanchez is joining us live outside san jose city hall. the flood assistance office there is set to close in a few days. >> right, that small business administration office that opened here inside san jose city hall is going close on friday. and today at the city council meeting, the city manager will recommend expanding the emergency declaration. but the deadline to apply for low-interest loans is this afternoon. now, a local agency as well as profits have until today to apply for the low-interest loans to replace up to $2 million of real estate, machinery, other business assets. homeowners can apply for low-interest lotes up to $200,000 to replace their buildings and up to $40,000 for personal property that was lost. according to the small business administration, it has approved more than $6 million in disaster relief to victims of this flood. the coyote creek flood. also other floods all around california after a very rough winter. getting the paperwork in to the state is critical in order to qualify for the federal assistance loans. i
