in gilroy, kris sanchez, nbc, bay area news. most definitely. thanks so much, chris. now we continue with our microclimate weather coverage for you. nbc bay area's bob redell. joining us now, he's along the alameda creek in niles canyon. this is where flooding warning has just expired there. so bob, talk to us about the conditions there. yeah. good morning, marcus and laura. you can see why the national weather service had a flood warning issued for alameda creek. that flood warning is supposed to expire at about 15 to 20 minutes ago. and that's because this creek captures so much of the runoff from the rains here in the east bay. it is about to crest roughly 11ft, which is just above the moderate flood stage of about 10.5ft. right now, according what i saw online, it's at about 10.5ft, and it appears to have risen in about the hour and a half that we've been out here. and i bring up those numbers, bececause the prediction earlier this morning is that this was going to crest around 9.5ft. so, you know, this type of thing is not an exact science, but there's definitely

today in the bay's kris sanchez in our newsroom this morning. and kris, these are two large school districts now downsizing. right. and they are dealing, as you said, with the same issues a lot of california districts are, which is declining enrollment, which means less funding. now, the two different school districts have differing plans. but no doubt the families in vallejo and santa rosa are feeling the same emotions. and hundreds of them have been showing up at meetings to be heard. let's start in vallejo here, where tonight trustees will vote on three options one. closing mare island health and fitness academy and moving vallejo charter school into that space. the second option is to reconfigure loma vista environmental science academy, moving students in sixth through eighth grade to solano widenmann and turning loma vista into a k through fifth grade school. the third option would close loma vista altogether, except for the farm. now, the board moved that meeting to mare island academy, as they expect a very large attendance this evening.
