now they stopped the t eped ku . they're going with it. they're exhibiting strength in many cases. they made 31 arrests. >> 78 is what we're told now. >> 78. >> that's a lot of arrests there. are you concerned when people hear the number 78 arrests and granted according to captain johnson, the injuries were all officers and not protesters that this will continue to fuel the fire. >> well, you know, you have to break down the arrests. we have to see what the charges are. you see the tactical officers moving out and arresting one man in a white t-shirt, and, you know, he's handcuffed. what i would look at that and say the force necessary to affect the arrest given the circumstances. and his arms grabbed and he was handcuffed. what are the charges. have they singled out the people throwing a molotov cocktail and shooting or carrying a gun. those are the important arrests. those are the ones that will make things better, safer, and more peace. just arresting someone who didn't leave, you know, and may be needed. >> what are the tactical options right now? >> well, they have to see if t

this week, the ku klux klan in south carolina gave out goodie bags -- goodie bags filled with candy asay to increase membership. you better watch out k.k.k., 'cause you know who likes candy? everybody. [ laughter ] another weird story, this week a pilot in idaho accidentally dropped over 3,000 ping-pong balls on a local highway that were intended for a near-by park as part of a contest. instead it became part of a contest where the winner stays alive on a highway full of ping-pong balls. we should be working with the ku kurds, and we are, we should be helping the americans with the intelligence gathering that they want. we should be working to assure a an iraqi government that can government all of iraq, and we are. we should deliver aid supplies to all of those desperately need. while we do that, you still have a problem of poisonous islamist extremism, and you see that problem in our country even before that problem came about. dealing with the source of the problem is going to be absolutely key.
