this morning kuren redmond is live outside of mount st. joseph high school where a former world war ii veteran is sharing thoughts on the life and times with dr. king and how he impacted so many in a fight against racism. >> reporter: there will be a celebrations and parades to commemorate his birthday. leon bass who is a world war ii veteran will be here to speak to the students as a part of a special ceremony today. let me give you background. dr. leon was a former high school principal, and a veteran of world war ii, he is dedicated his life as a teacher, administrator and most importantly, someone who always thought racism, where ever it exists. he won numerous awards including in 1996, humanitarian advancement from jewish women international and a documentary, liberators fighting on two fronts, the students here, will hear from him at the fine arts center at 10:00 as part of the special event to commemorate dr. king's birthday. he is supposed to share a special message and going to talk about his book, titled good enough, one man's me
