kwwl news. some areas of cedar rapids have been dealing with floods for days now -- you can see the high water in this neighborhood. as cedar rapids moves past the worst of the flooding... another iowa city is getting ready for it... the hesco barriers are in burlington. the river is already at flood stage.... and will rise another 4-feet by saturday. several weekend events plann or canceled... on saturday morning we were gonna have the american queen was supposed to dock and they did cancel that, saturday evening we were supposed to have our october fest here and it is now going to be held at community field.' burlington is in the process of designing a permanent flood wall. it won't be installed until this spring. flooding still a big problem in the community of palo. some are still without power. the national guard also there helping out. save his house --and he's not alone. the good news is the water is now on its way down there. some were forced to leave this past weekend --but are now back
