>> reporter: some developing information here, kyra. addre as you said, it's democrat versus democrat in the house. there is some holdup. they haven't decided exactly on key points for moving ahead on health care. and what we're now learning that democratic leaders may consider bypassing some of their concerns and moving this whole health care reform bill to the floor. this is the -- the person we're talking about is henry waxman. he is the chairman of the energy and commerce committee. and, kyra, the way it works, you have three committees in the house that took up this bill, and they were supposed to pass it out of their committees and then go to the house floor. well, two of these committees were able to pass this bill through. but the third, it got hung up because of a group called the blue dog democrats. some fiscally conservative democrats who have major concerns, in a nutshell, about the costs of this and how you're going to pay for it, how the democrats' plan pays for this. in this committee they have delayed moving the bill thr

kyra? >> it's taken 17 days, barbara, for this to finally happen, some type of effort on behalf of the military to search for this soldier. why has it taken that long? >> well, let's be very clear, you know, 17 days until we, in the news media, learned and were able to get our handoscopies of these leaflets and pamphlets. the u.s. military started looking for this young man immediately, when he was reported missing. there has been quite a very secret effort, if you will, a very quiet effort in eastern afghanistan, throughout this area, trying to look for him. but what is clear is the military is trying to keep it very quiet, very low key. the feeling is if they can keep it low key, they will have the best chance of trying to get him back, kyra. >> any notion to what side of the border that he's on at this point? >> well, he was taken in a place that was very close to the pakistan border, so there has been a lot of concern over this last 17 days that he might have been moved by the militants

>> hi there, kyra. that is definitely the news now, that we first brought you, and that is, coming from our crack congressional producers, and that is that the rebellious conservative democrats who have been holding up the president's priority, they have struck a deal with house leaders and the white house that allows this process to move forward in a committee that has been stalled. however, they also, as part of this deal, have gotten, you know, confirmation that the full house will not vote on health care until the fall. th there will not be a house vote on health care until the fall. however, having said that, that is both something that democratic leaders and conservative democrats are touting as important movement, because it has been delayed. and we have just a few more details about part of what they -- the conservative democrats got, and that is, for example, they have been able to reduce the total costs of the near trillion dollar health care plan by about $100 billion. the other thing that th
