live look at westbound highway 24 where there were two overturned vehicle accidents in central la fayette in less than an hour. the highway patrol responded to a car that flipped on the right- hand shoulder. that was about 45 minutes ago. you can see all of the traffic there on the right side of your screen. really crawling along in the westbound direction of 24. there's no word of any injuries in that accident. the other accident happened a little earlier about 10:30 when a dodge ram turned over on the la feign yet onramp -- la fayette onramp. crews worked to free one person trapped in the truck. we don't know that person's condition but he appears to be conscious and moving. rescue crews and an ambulance responded. traffic still backed up all the way to walnut creek. let's go now to mark tamayo who is monitoring the rain for more on just how much we've seep seep -- we've seen so so far -- so far. >>> when you look at the cameras, it's cloudy and cool. it's relatively mild and humid. moisture associated with hurricane blanca. that moisture has been moving in from the south and has the tr

but on 24, it looks good from la fayette to oakland. 7:32.he desk. >> thank you. >>> a tough story to talk about. a family in concord mourning the death of their baby girl today. police say she drowned in a pool. ktvu's janine de la vega joining us live now. you are in concord. you've been out there all morning and you just talked to the baby's father. >> reporter: yeah, dave. it was tough. there were tears in his eyes and one of the things that he asked is that everybody pray for his wife and for his family. he didn't want to get into details of what happened. just told me it was a tragic accident. this all happened just around 8:00 last night on ridge park lane near cowell road and monument. contra costa county paramedics and firefighters came. the girl was taken to the hospital but we learned that she's died. police have not revealed the circumstances surrounding the drowning but here's what one neighbor told us. >> that the baby had fallen in the pool and drived. that was all i heard -- and drowned. that was all i heard. devastating. >> r

. >>> let's take a look at commute, highway 24, westbound as you drive through the la fayette area.se there was an earlier crash in the area. you can see it's gone. but traffic is going to be busy often the way to the caldecott tunnel if you are driving to the bay bridge toll plaza, more slow traffic waiting for you there including on the 880 ramp. it's pretty slow in the east bay. i want to take you to a couple of commutes. we had a couple crashes on northbound 101. 280 and 85 are also slow. if you your destination is -- if your destination is this part of the bay, look at all of the red. you have a lot of red on these freeways trying to get up in the west valley. if you are a south bay commuter take that into account. 880 slow. we had earlier crashes. all of this is red into fremont. dumbarton bridge and san mateo bridge are slow. man. just not a good commute. let's go to the -- move it up here to contra costa. 680 is also slow from 242 down to highway 24. so steve, as i bring you in, it's a lot of slow traffic out there. >> have any good news?
