we're going to have a live report coming up from lafayette, louisiana, where i used to work. we'll have an update on that in just a few minutes. let's get back here at home because we've been tracking a couple weather systems here we were hoping to help us out with very dry conditions. this first one moving in just sliding down the coast and weakening but it has brought us a few more clouds and then the next one right behind that looks like it will stay to the north of us so we're not expecting a lot of rain out of that as well. they are providing higher humidity so i think we'll welcome that and then as we go into next week we will still see the return of some hot weather as high pressure builds once again. we'll have something else to watch there further down the line. we are in a severe to extreme drought for much of the bay area. and we are hoping that we'll get some rain at least farther down the line if not this weekend. there may be a few spotty showers. as we watch la nina, which is cooler than normal water temperatures in the pacific leading into winter. it usually d
