lancashire. back injanuary she disappeared and was out walking her dog. she had just finished a work conference call. you can see pictures from the search along the river and a statement from the policethen was widespread speculation. all of the media right across the country, there was a lot of speculation about her whereabouts and a huge amount of concern. her body was spotted by dog walkers a few miles down the river several weeks later. so just to confirm what we have just heard from the coroner, that there was no indication of any desire she had to take your own life, she fell into the river and died almost immediately. the coroner noted the improved health and well—being of nicola, the fact she was making plans and there was normal behaviour that was being exhibited as well. he also said it would be unusual for her to consider suicide and risk losing her dog. so there was no natural disease caused the death and the conclusion is that she died in accidental death. the inquest into her death opened yesterday and the coroner offered his condolences yesterday to the family. just to remind you what the outcome of the inquest and the aims of the inquest work was to determine who has
