. >> we turn to landon dowdy live at cnbc headquarters. good morning, landon. >> good monday morning to you both. wall street could start the trading daylightly in the red. markets coming off a mixed week. the nasdaq fell fractionally. they will get a ton of economic data with reports on home prices, sales, durable goods and gdp. the dow fell. disney is threatening to pull programming from the fourth largest cable provider, which is better known as optimum. they face a deadline by the end of the month to reach a deal. optimum says disney asked for hundreds of millions of dollars in new fees to keep carrying its channels, including espn and abc. as ratings suffer, disney says the channels will go dark without a new deal. customers are in the new york, new jersey, pennsylvania areas. >>> hurricane maria halted drug manufacturing in puerto rico, which could lead to shortages. companies from eli lilly are assessing damage. there are 50 pharmaceutical plants on that island. most have back-up power generators, but most employees are unavailable.

i'm landon dowdy. equifax says a data breach may have exposed information from 143 million americans. the breach occurred between may and july and hackers stole names, security numbers, birth dates, addresses, and drivers license numbers. that is enough information for thieves to hijack a person's identity. equifax discovered the breach on july 29th but did not announce it publicly until just yesterday. it has put up a website and phone number where consumers can check their security status. a quick check of your markets on wall street. they could end in the red. the markets fell but the dow led lower by financial stocks and after disney issued a profit warning. investors will go debt at that on wholesale trade and credit. the dow fell to 22,784. the nasdaq edged up higher by four to 6393. and a new report by the pew research center finds more than half of mernts aged 50 and older get their names from social media sites up from 45% last year. more than two-thirds of all adults get at least some news fr
