but again, heading north to lansdale, quakertown, 309 is the way to go. the other problem we are dealing with this morning is a down tree that occurred overnight, right at belmont plateau at intersection of montgomery drive and belmont have avenue a lot of folks know that is the short cut for folks coming off of city line trying to get down to the martin luther king drive but with that down tree, penndot is now shut down, the on and off ramps to montgomery drive, from the schuylkill expressway. so coming in on the schuylkill, extra heavy, eastbound we are bumper to bumper from conshohocken all the way in, westbound jammed as well with again the off ramp as you can see here block by the penndot crews, preventing a bigger backup occurring in fairmount park. rough go, starting off here, dave and we could have a rough end to our afternoon rush hour. >> we could be talking about storms in the evening rush hour. right now radar showing it is quiet, just a few rain showers that could move in through north and western suburbs. these are not storms we are talking

started at 6:15 this morning on the southbound side of the northeast extension around the area of lansdale but it is still closed between quakertown and the pa turnpike. so this is earlier work that happened earlier this morning that they had to extend, into the evening and rush hour commutes. we are talking about severe problems severe delays, and it is sort of hard to get a good idea taking a look at this earlier footage of chopper three but i'm telling you right now what you are dealing with now is traffic being stuck on the southbound side, still between quakertown and pennsylvania turnpike. what they have been doggies alleviating some of that traffic and allowing folks stuck to exit, but you cannot, jump on the southbound side of the extension, and around the area of quakertown and then trying to make your way through to the mid county toll plaza ramp from quakertown is also closed. your best alternate is 309 but keep in mind we have just cleared an accident on 309 southbound, out of the way not too far from the perkasie area. not too far from the distance. so expecting high volleys w
