"today in the bay's" kris sanchez live in fremont. a lot of citations from the agency. good morning, kris. >> reporter: it sounds like a lot, laura. in just a few hours b.a.r.t. police officers did cite about three dozen people for trying to cheat and ride b.a.r.t. for free. these are new numbers this morning. the crackdown was last night. the focus about 5:00 to 9:00 last night at the powell station, the richmond and fremont station. officers wrote 36 citations, but in addition to that the officers also arrested four people on unrelated warrants and crimes. last night's focused enforcement, as b.a.r.t. calls it, is part of the $3 million effort to stop fare evasion. i dug up some numbers and would you believe fare evaders cost about $25 million a year. that citation is a $250 ticket. a few dozen people cited is really just a drop in the buc
