the truth is that they will go up larkin and that is the heart of little saigon. there will be many entrances and exits. people who go up towards bush and the other streets, they come back around because people will not realize with the added bus lanes on both of those streets, this area has become very congested and even through the no parking time, a lot of businesses utilize that four drops and deliveries and it is an important fact that san francisco is a trances city first the people to drive. i drive every day but people visit and they do the right thing but i drive every single day in this city. i think that we have to be more alert. if they're doing such a great project, i don't think that the cathedral hill is built well anyway. this will be nice access to the city for myself and for the generations to come. i think that they need to bring this back specifically for traffic needs and make it a neighborhood and remember that this is a neighborhood and this is one of the up-and-coming neighborhoods just like in san francisco. anything would have to do with

in essence, in the bay area, like on larkin street, i want to see people invest more in people. love the giants stadium, but i want to see cumins investing in a humans, instead of expensive. expensive buildings. i love to see the mayor and governor invest more in education than in incarcerations. so i am committed with the music and the platform that i have, if i have to, to give a little spanking to those who need to break up. we spend way too much on weapons. all the money that we spend on tv advertising, gears of war, that is stupidity. in new zealand, they passed a law that said that you could not sell it. all those games about killing people. they do not want it. to me, i'd equate that with columbine, with war. once you desensitize a human being, you cannot tell the difference between shooting someone in a video game and a real person. some people can be gentle and kind. i can be ghetto when i want to be. i grew up with the black panthers doing peace and freedom benefits for them. so on the one hand i like the softness of spirituel the day, but i also like the energy that y

her name is bianca and lives at geary and larkin. she said the last week was the first time she heard about the hospital. i have to ask the hospital, what has been the process cpmc reaching out to the community particularly in the multilingual fashion. many of our families, only one person had heard about the hospital. i also submitted a packet with the surveys and submitted a report from urban solutions indicating that the corridor has the highest incidence of latino families of all the tenderloino for me it's a serious concern that many of these families weren't noticed about the hospital and will be deeply impacted about the project. i want to go over what some of the survey says since i feel like cpmc has outreached to our community, i thought, we had a meeting on friday, let's find out what our families think about the hospital and what they think about this plan. i did a survey of the 26 folks that were there and this is the outcome because i don't know if this helps. of the 26 there, 20 live in the tenderloin, four live along

the development of the vietnamese community in the tenderloin's western part, mainly along larkin st. there's an increasing number of vietnamese families and businesses. one of the strengths of the tenderloin is the tenderloin community school, developed 6 or 7 years ago. it's a great school. and there's a lot of kids that go there and that's not something that's thought about. jerry: i think the neighborhood is improving but at the same time we're still facing the same issues as 10 or 15 years ago or longer. there was a neighborhood planning study, the tenderloin 2000 plan published in the early 1990's that identified 5 basic goals for the neighborhood. and 15 years later, those goals... i think a lot of people would regard them as the primary goals for the neighborhood. they include: public safety, affordable housing or housing in general, economic development, the public general environment and social services. and 15 years later a lot of those concerns are the same ones that people have now. chris: new social issues do come up in this country, like the rise of crack cocaine in the
