so you've got the republican-led pennsylvania house trying to take out larry krasner, krasner claimspolitics in an election year. your thoughts on that, rafael? >> i think that's a bit of a disingenuous claim. what else would the legislature be expected to do in the face of record homicide numbers. they ought to be interested in response to the people that they represent in what is one of the most pressing public policy problems of our time, particularly in the city of philadelphia, as you know, all time homicide record last year and on pace to break it this year. larry krasner has presided over significant homicide increases every single year that he has been in office. the idea that he doesn't have anything to do with that phenomenon, you know, the republicans have every right to investigate the degree to which krasner has contributed to what is one of the most serious public policy problems of our time. >> john: 2016, before krasner took over, all cases that were withdrawn or dismissed just 30% by 2022, that number had jumped to 66%. violent crime cases in 2016, 48% were withdrawn
