a suspect faces a judge in the case today in las vegas. kristy seifkin has more. >> reporter: good morning to you, frank. it was just yesterday that the family held a rosary for 3-year- old carlos nava and as you mentioned, just a few hours at 11:00 today a funeral mass will be held for him a few blocks away from the memorial that's been set up here at 64th and international. it was just over a week ago that carlos was hit in the neck by a stray bullet during a drive-by shooting. two other men who were walking in front of carlos were also hit. but they survived. police do believe that this shooting was gang-related. it was this past friday that authorities arrested 22-year- old willie torrence of oakland in las vegas. they believe the man is responsible for driving the car the day of the shooting. he was out on parole for a prior weapon conviction and was spotted while out driving in las vegas. >> took a 3-year-old life. that was an angel. >> i just hope that they get prosecuted to the fullest behind what they did. >> they killed a 3-year-

he was arrested friday night by las vegas using information provided by them from oakland police. it comes on the same day that carlos' family is holding a wake for the toddler, killed by a stray bullet last monday. the spot where it happened is now overflowing with balloons and stuffed animals. assistant police chief howard jordan says the investigation may never have wrapped this up quickly had it not been for witnesses. >> most of the information we received are from citizens who are just distraught and sick to their stomach about what they know happened. and they were very cooperative and unwilling to sit on information that they had that they felt we could use to be able to capture these suspects. >> reporter: authorities are not saying how torrence knows the other man who was arrested in the shoot, lawrence denard, who is now facing murder and attempted murder charges. police are convinced they now have the only two men involved in the shooting. torrence will be extradited in a few days. >>> in oakland this past weekend, six shot two killed, zero arrests. the five separate s
