i want to bring in latosha br n brown, co-founders of the black lives matter fund. to ask your sense of what you're seeing on the ground, your gut feeling about where this race. >> i feel really good about it. we have worked really hard to get the message out to black voters. and what we're seeing is an extraordinary turnout. we're seeing young voters come out. we're seeing african american voters all across the spectrum come out. i think we're seeing progressive voters. we're seeing asian american and pacific islanders. what we're seeing is the new south rising. we're seeing a spectrum of this new coalition that's rising up and saying we want a different direction for the state of georgia. we want a different direction for this nation. so i think what you're seeing in georgia right now, the fact that we're on the eve, just a few days until the election, and we're literally talking about can the republicans win? that in itself is extraordinary and historic. >> what do you make, latosha, of the high voter turnout? i hear a lot of echoes of the nevada races where peop

matter co-founder alicia gardner, linda sanchez, stephanie bice, black voters matter co-founder latosha brownand sonja and to lack. >> let's get started. a number of latinos are being considered as well. she wasn't selected to lead hhs. i would like to know your thoughts about why there hasn't been a latina name so far. -- biden is by the meeting the commitment he made? >> sure. joe biden is definitely choosing a cabinet that looks like america. i'm very excited about that. we've yet to see a latina appointed to the cabinet. i'm still very hopeful that that will happen. of course, michelle lujan grisham is very qualified. withified executive experience, experience. she ran the health department for the state of new mexico. as governor, she has been on the front lines of grappling with the pandemic. i would love to see here at hhs. we do have a latino pick. i am hopeful. i have seen a number of women chosen and we are still holding out hope there will be latinas in the cabinet. and i think that will happen. you are one of a number of republican women who won elections this year. a record numbe

been learned and the determination and forthrightness of organizers like i know you have heard of latosha brown and cliff albright, but you also have people like emmett hollowell based in savannah, one who works here and countless others -- stephanie choi. so many amazing people who do this work for organizing all over the place. a statewide amazing effort because people knew what was at stake. everyone is investing in the long haul and how do we not just flip the state because it is good for headlines or national morale, but what is good for georgia. juan: i'm wondering if you could talk about specifically because georgia today is not the georgia of 10 years ago or 20 years ago. it is a much more diverse state and fast-growing populations of asian americans and latino americans. i think i saw some estimates that 79,000 latinos had voted early in this runoff compared to about 124,000 who voted early in the november election? given that it is a runoff and there's normally a huge drop-off in boats, that is a staggering number. about howhave written the focus has been not just on metropolitan atla
