out of the east bay this morning where a car chase spanned two cities ending with a crash in san leeann do. >> kris sanchez joining us life with how it all happened. you have some new details coming in. >> reporter: we knew this started with a carjacking. what we did not know until just a few moments ago is that hit was also an armed robbery in the parking lot of a toys "r" us store. you may know where that is. the suspects came over on ban craft avenue and then turned onto east 14th street. that's when they collided with this gal va nieszed metal piping which is really here to protect people from being hit by cars when they're waiting for the cross light to turn. this came down, the car was just taken away on a flatbed truck. it was not drivable after that crash. the suspects were loaded into ambulances. they will be checked out, then they will be taken into custody. we suspect one of them is a minor. but before police had those suspects out of the car safely, they had to approach with guns drawn because they weren't sure where the suspects were armed. again they had just excited an ar
